Post Election Woes

Yesterday was the California Primary election, and here in the 50th District we were voting for who would replace Randy Cunningham since he was sentenced for corruption.

If you want to know the results knock your self out.

This was a bad election, a lot of mud slinging, and the end result with the wrong people in office. All this election did was confirm my need to get out of this state.

The only real reason why I voted this time was to elect Bruce Ruff for Sheriff. But he lost, big time. When I saw it on TV my heart sunk into my stomach. All that campaigning, time spent meeting with the people, the money he spent. He worked his ass off 100 times harder than the incumbent Bill Kolender, but the people of San Diego are obviously to ignorant to realize what's good for them. That's the main reason why I hate this state, to many stupid people in it, I'm just fed up with it all.

So I don't know, I've lost faith in the democratic system. (And don't say its cause I'm a sore looser.) The good people don't get elected, and the wrong people do. And who is to blame? The voters? The candidates? The financial backers? I'd say it's all of the above. But yet, if I don't vote I have no right to complain; talk about a true conundrum. Its like life, sometimes its not worth it but you just cant stop, there is a purpose behind it, you just cant see it.

So now I'm really depressed and will be like this for a few days. And on that note I leave you with a personal saying of mine, "Life is a bitch you just can't slap."

ON SHEEP, WOLVES, AND SHEEPDOGS

One Vietnam veteran, an old retired colonel, once said this to me: "Most of the people in our society are sheep. They are kind, gentle, productive creatures who can only hurt one another by accident." This is true. Remember, the murder rate is six per 100,000 per year, and the aggravated assault rate is four per 1,000 per year. What this means is that the vast majority of Americans are not inclined to hurt one another.

Some estimates say that two million Americans are victims of violent crimes every year, a tragic, staggering number, perhaps an all-time record rate of violent crime. But there are almost 300 million Americans, which means that the odds of being a victim of violent crime is considerably less than one in a hundred on any given year. Furthermore, since many violent crimes are committed by repeat offenders, the actual number of violent citizens is considerably less than two million.

Thus there is a paradox, and we must grasp both ends of the situation: We may well be in the most violent times in history, but violence is still remarkably rare. This is because most citizens are kind, decent people who are not capable of hurting each other, except by accident or under extreme provocation. They are sheep.

I mean nothing negative by calling them sheep. To me it is like the pretty, blue robin's egg. Inside it is soft and gooey but someday it will grow into something wonderful. But the egg cannot survive without its hard blue shell. Police officers, soldiers, and other warriors are like that shell, and someday the civilization they protect will grow into something wonderful? For now, though, they need warriors to protect them from the predators.

"Then there are the wolves," the old war veteran said, "and the wolves feed on the sheep without mercy." Do you believe there are wolves out there who will feed on the flock without mercy? You better believe it. There are evil men in this world and they are capable of evil deeds. The moment you forget that or pretend it is not so, you become a sheep. There is no safety in denial.

"Then there are sheepdogs," he went on, "and I'm a sheepdog. I live to protect the flock and confront the wolf."

If you have no capacity for violence then you are a healthy productive citizen, a sheep. If you have a capacity for violence and no empathy for your fellow citizens, then you have defined an aggressive sociopath, a wolf. But what if you have a capacity for violence, and a deep love for your fellow citizens? What do you have then? A sheepdog, a warrior, someone who is walking the hero's path. Someone who can walk into the heart of darkness, into the universal human phobia, and walk out unscathed.

Let me expand on this old soldier's excellent model of the sheep, wolves, and sheepdogs. We know that the sheep live in denial, that is what makes them sheep. They do not want to believe that there is evil in the world. They can accept the fact that fires can happen, which is why they want fire extinguishers, fire sprinklers, fire alarms and fire exits throughout their kids' schools.

But many of them are outraged at the idea of putting an armed police officer in their kid's school. Our children are thousands of times more likely to be killed or seriously injured by school violence than fire, but the sheep's only response to the possibility of violence is denial. The idea of someone coming to kill or harm their child is just too hard, and so they chose the path of denial.

The sheep generally do not like the sheepdog. He looks a lot like the wolf. He has fangs and the capacity for violence. The difference, though, is that the sheepdog must not, can not and will not ever harm the sheep. Any sheep dog who intentionally harms the lowliest little lamb will be punished and removed. The world cannot work any other way, at least not in a representative democracy or a republic such as ours.

Still, the sheepdog disturbs the sheep. He is a constant reminder that there are wolves in the land. They would prefer that he didn't tell them where to go, or give them traffic tickets, or stand at the ready in our airports in camouflage fatigues holding an M-16. The sheep would much rather have the sheepdog cash in his fangs, spray paint himself white, and go, "Baa."

Until the wolf shows up. Then the entire flock tries desperately to hide behind one lonely sheepdog.

The students, the victims, at Columbine High School were big, tough high school students, and under ordinary circumstances they would not have had the time of day for a police officer. They were not bad kids; they just had nothing to say to a cop. When the school was under attack, however, and SWAT teams were clearing the rooms and hallways, the officers had to physically peel those clinging, sobbing kids off of them. This is how the little lambs feel about their sheepdog when the wolf is at the door.

Look at what happened after September 11, 2001 when the wolf pounded hard on the door. Remember how America, more than ever before, felt differently about their law enforcement officers and military personnel? Remember how many times you heard the word hero?

Understand that there is nothing morally superior about being a sheepdog; it is just what you choose to be. Also understand that a sheepdog is a funny critter: He is always sniffing around out on the perimeter, checking the breeze, barking at things that go bump in the night, and yearning for a righteous battle. That is, the young sheepdogs yearn for a righteous battle. The old sheepdogs are a little older and wiser, but they move to the sound of the guns when needed right along with the young ones.

Here is how the sheep and the sheepdog think differently. The sheep pretend the wolf will never come, but the sheepdog lives for that day. After the attacks on September 11, 2001, most of the sheep, that is, most citizens in America said, "Thank God I wasn't on one of those planes." The sheepdogs, the warriors, said, "Dear God, I wish I could have been on one of those planes. Maybe I could have made a difference." When you are truly transformed into a warrior and have truly invested yourself into warriorhood, you want to be there. You want to be able to make a difference.

There is nothing morally superior about the sheepdog, the warrior, but he does have one real advantage. Only one. And that is that he is able to survive and thrive in an environment that destroys 98 percent of the population.

There was research conducted a few years ago with individuals convicted of violent crimes. These cons were in prison for serious, predatory crimes of violence: assaults, murders and killing law enforcement officers. The vast majority said that they specifically targeted victims by body language: slumped walk, passive behavior and lack of awareness. They chose their victims like big cats do in Africa, when they select one out of the herd that is least able to protect itself.

Some people may be destined to be sheep and others might be genetically primed to be wolves or sheepdogs. But I believe that most people can choose which one they want to be, and I'm proud to say that more and more Americans are choosing to become sheepdogs.

Seven months after the attack on September 11, 2001, Todd Beamer was honored in his hometown of Cranbury, New Jersey. Todd, as you recall, was the man on Flight 93 over Pennsylvania who called on his cell phone to alert an operator from United Airlines about the hijacking. When he learned of the other three passenger planes that had been used as weapons, Todd dropped his phone and uttered the words, "Let's roll," which authorities believe was a signal to the other passengers to confront the terrorist hijackers. In one hour, a transformation occurred among the passengers - athletes, business people and parents. -- from sheep to sheepdogs and together they fought the wolves, ultimately saving an unknown number of lives on the ground.

Here is the point I like to emphasize, especially to the thousands of police officers and soldiers I speak to each year. In nature the sheep, real sheep, are born as sheep. Sheepdogs are born that way, and so are wolves. They didn't have a choice. But you are not a critter. As a human being, you can be whatever you want to be. It is a conscious, moral decision.

If you want to be a sheep, then you can be a sheep and that is okay, but you must understand the price you pay. When the wolf comes, you and your loved ones are going to die if there is not a sheepdog there to protect you. If you want to be a wolf, you can be one, but the sheepdogs are going to hunt you down and you will never have rest, safety, trust or love. But if you want to be a sheepdog and walk the warrior's path, then you must make a conscious and moral decision every day to dedicate, equip and prepare yourself to thrive in that toxic, corrosive moment when the wolf comes knocking at the door.

For example, many officers carry their weapons in church? They are well concealed in ankle holsters, shoulder holsters or inside-the-belt holsters tucked into the small of their backs? Anytime you go to some form of religious service, there is a very good chance that a police officer in your congregation is carrying. You will never know if there is such an individual in your place of worship, until the wolf appears to massacre you and your loved ones.

I was training a group of police officers in Texas, and during the break, one officer asked his friend if he carried his weapon in church. The other cop replied, "I will never be caught without my gun in church." I asked why he felt so strongly about this, and he told me about a cop he knew who was at a church massacre in Ft. Worth, Texas in 1999. In that incident, a mentally deranged individual came into the church and opened fire, gunning down fourteen people. He said that officer believed he could have saved every life that day if he had been carrying his gun. His own son was shot, and all he could do was throw himself on the boy's body and wait to die. That cop looked me in the eye and said, "Do you have any idea how hard it would be to live with yourself after that?"

Some individuals would be horrified if they knew this police officer was carrying a weapon in church. They might call him paranoid and would probably scorn him. Yet these same individuals would be enraged and would call for ..t train. Your only defense was wishful thinking. Hope is not a strategy. Denial kills you a second time because even if you do physically survive, you are psychologically shattered by your fear helplessness and horror at your moment of truth.

Gavin de Becker puts it like this in Fear Less, his superb post-9/11 book, which should be required reading for anyone trying to come to terms with our current world situation: "...denial can be seductive, but it has an insidious side effect. For all the peace of mind deniers think they get by saying it isn't so, the fall they take when faced with new violence is all the more unsettling."

Denial is a save-now-pay-later scheme, a contract written entirely in small print, for in the long run, the denying person knows the truth on some level.

And so the warrior must strive to confront denial in all aspects of his life, and prepare himself for the day when evil comes.

If you are warrior who is legally authorized to carry a weapon and you step outside without that weapon, then you become a sheep, pretending that the bad man will not come today. No one can be "on" 24/7, for a lifetime. Everyone needs down time. But if you are authorized to carry a weapon, and you walk outside without it, just take a deep breath, and say this to yourself..."Baa."

This business of being a sheep or a sheep dog is not a yes-no dichotomy. It is not an all-or-nothing, either-or choice. It is a matter of degrees, a continuum. On one end is an abject, head-in-the-sand-sheep and on the other end is the ultimate warrior. Few people exist completely on one end or the other.

Most of us live somewhere in between. Since 9-11 almost everyone in America took a step up that continuum, away from denial. The sheep took a few steps toward accepting and appreciating their warriors, and the warriors started taking their job more seriously. The degree to which you move up that continuum, away from sheephood and denial, is the degree to which you and your loved ones will survive, physically and psychologically at your moment of truth.

Bush, pussy, what?

Small amounts of people have commented on my last post where I said President Bush is a pussy. So with this I think I should explain myself.

Bush has his back to the wall. Our nation is so divided on so many important issues that it has our President unable to please both sides. Republicans want to control Illegal immigration; the liberals want to allow anyone here. (Yes they do, don't give me crap about it!) The nation is divided between common sense and sheer stupidity. Common sense would dictate for to keep the troops in Iraq, kick out illegals here, build a fence on the border, lower taxes, and beat the crap out of Iran. The liberals who don't use common sense but bias emotion think the contrary. So this leaves our President in the middle. Our nation though is no longer in a state of existence where the President can ride the fence like he is, we need a man in office who can get the job done no matter what dumb-ass democrat/protestor/marcher is saying. We need a man who has a pair and isn't afraid of throwing punches! And I'm just not seeing that in our current President, I'm sorry. Do I want him out of office? Hell no, that would be stupid! That would do more damage than letting him in. Bush isn't a bad guy, I just think he's a tired guy, tired of having to not only fight the terrorists, but also the Democrats, the protestors, and the world. He's a good man with good ideas, he's just not acting on them and that's why I called him a pussy. Is he a real pussy? No. On a personal level I think George Bush is a man's man. Someone who you could go get a burger and a beer with and tell a good joke with. I respect the man; in fact I wouldn't mind spending an evening with him drinking beers and watching a good game, that's something I couldn't imagine John Kerry doing, he'd probably want to watch the ballet. My calling him a pussy has to do with his leadership in the Oval Office only, and that is only due to the fact that he is against the wall and wont stand up against the liberal Asses and do what needs to be done. That's it. If you don't like that, oh well.

Stop Iran, Or You Wont Get A Cookie

So, isn't this like telling a little boy that if he stops hitting his sister he'll get a cookie? All we're doing is rewarding Iran's defiance, and once they realize that they'll continue defying us more and more. We are taking the pacifist mentality on this, and you can't do that with these people, they only respond to sheer power. They are building Nuclear Weapon with the intent of striking Israel and possibly the United States; and anyone who disagrees is a fool. We are dealing with a modern day Hitler and the world has to realize that. What the Bush Administration needs to do is put their foot down, tell Iran they have X amount of days to shut down their factories and turn over the uranium or otherwise we will start to bomb their nuclear factories.

Why don't we do it? Because Bush is too much of a pussy to stand up to the liberals in this nation. The Republicans are to focused on winning the house and Presidential office in 2008 that they don't want to make any waves. That is pure bull. As a powerful nation, it is our duty to confront this threat head on. Please Mr. President, don't be like France; we need strength, not weakness.

Don't be surprised if you wake up one morning with the headlines saying: "Israel has just launched an attack on Iran wiping it off the map." That would be a glorious day.

Moore Gets Served!

Sgt. Peter Damon has a right to be angry. Not at the fact that he has lost both his arms in a Blackhawk crash in Iraq, but because the anti-American filmmaker Michael Moore has used his tragedy for his own financial gain. In Moore's film Fahrenheit 9/11, it shows an NBC interview Sgt. Damon gave about how he felt after the accident and how the medicine was helping the pain. But Moore took that clip and sandwiched it in to the film to appear as Sgt. Damon was complaining about the war and the treatment of Vets by the Senate, which was not the case. Sgt. Damon is very much America and proud that he served to help liberate Iraq. Sgt. Damon was so made at Moore for this defamation of character that he is now suing Moore and NBC for $85 Million for misusing his comments.

I say to Sgt. Damon, good for you! Hold this anti-American scum accountable for his negligent actions. I will be praying for you Sgt. Damon and that justice will be served. I hope that others who Moore has use their words irresponsibility follow, maybe that will wake up the filmmaker and tell him that he isn't a god.

Why Time Travel Is Impossible

I was on the 'can' doing what I always do there; provocative philosophical thinking, and I noticed something in my magazine. There was an ad for a book that was titled, "What If Jesus Was Never Born?" or something like that. And I got thinking of what if our Savior was never born, or was born years later. How would the world be different? What if we created a time machine and the devil went back in time and kill baby Jesus. WOW! What ramifications that would have! So then I started contemplating the idea of time travel, is it possible? Can I go back and not have made an idiot of myself on that date? Could I have stopped the planes from hitting the Twin Towers on 9-11? What if, what if? My conclusion to all these questions was, no. And let me explain.

For time travel to be possible God would have to be able to do it, right? God would have to want to and have a need to. But for God to have that want or need to time travel it would have to be for a purpose of correcting the past. Why? Because God had the whole world planned and thought of from day 1 and before that, before the creation of the Universe. He knew where I would be and what I would be doing today a million years ago. So since God knew all this from the beginning, for him to correct it would require a mistake and or a lack of knowledge on his part, which would contradict His divinity. God doesn't make mistakes or have a lack of knowledge; if he did he wouldn't be God. So by this circular assessment we know that God cannot through his divinity time travel into the past because it would go against his perfection. For him to go back he would need a reason and that reason would contradict his Holiness.

Now some skeptics will say that we can do things God can't do, i.e. Sin. But that's not the same and in no way does this impede his omnipotence. Man can sin but God can't for the same reason he can't time travel. God can't do these things not cause he's stopping Himself, but because He is Holly and Holly cannot sin. It's like trying to create a round triangle, it just can't be done. And we can't time travel just because God allow for it to happen. He planned it all, and He's not going to let us ‘Man' screw it up.

Now for argument sake when I say time travel I'm referring only to traveling to the past, not the future. Though we know some of the future through God's revelation to a few people like John and the other prophets, they did not nor could they travel to the future to affect the outcome. They were just given a vision, that's all. So I am just referring to time traveling to the past. We cannot affect what has not yet occurred. We can only be shown through prophecies of what is to come.

Now there are other reasons why time travel is impossible other than it contradicting God's divinity. One, if we could go into the past what would stop Satan from going there and killing the baby Jesus to stop the messiah from coming. God would not in anyways allow for that to happen.

Also time is linear and for time travel to be possible it would have to be non linear. But then you get into the whole ‘space time continuum' debate. Which I know nothing about.

So there you have it. A short but powerful argument for why time travel is impossible. I know not many will argue with the logistics of it; any logical thinker will come to the same conclusion. They only might argue the theological aspect of it. But I just wanted to bring that theological view to it so that's why I'm writing.

And as for those dreamers out there who wish to relive high school, I want to apologies that I had to pop your bubble and bring you back to reality.

Gun Control And Parenting

Gun control begins and ends in the home. What that means is parents; it is your responsibility to teach your children proper gun safety, not the governments. If your child finds a gun and shoot someone or themselves its not the governments fault for not teaching them or keeping the gun away, no, its your fault. Its not the fault of the manufacturer of the gun for making the firearm, its the parents fault. Parents, the same responsibility you have to teach your children right from wrong is endowed to you to teach them to be safe and responsible people around guns. Teach your children that guns are not toys, that they must be respected. Teach them that if they find a gun to get an adult. Teach them that guns are not evil but that people are and that they must be ready to protect themselves when they're old enough. It comes down to personal responsibility. Yes, a 5 year old isn't going to understand the dynamics of the human freewill, but they do understand that if they see something they aren't to touch then they wont. Its about being a good parent and being there for your child. Now I'm not talking to the good parents out there, you are doing a good job. I'm talking to the parents who think government programs are the best way to raise their kids. I'm talking to the parents that think if they take every inanimate object they deem 'evil' in this world and destroy it then their child will be safe. But you know what, that is impossible. This worlds a scary place to be, and the faster you teach your child to handle this world and not hide them from it the better off and well rounded they'll be.

Election Time Woes

The reason why we keep electing one bad person after another is that we are voting based on such small knowledge of the candidate. Knowledge that comes from the TV ads and media reports. That is just not enough information to elect anybody with.

What do I mean? Here is California we are replacing the 50th Congressional seat after the incumbent, Randy 'Duke' Cunningham was convicted of many federal offenses for bribery and like acts. So we responsible citizens must choose who should fill this now vacant seat so we can continue to be represented in the House. But as we get closer to Election Day all I see is mudslinging ads against each candidate by each political party and the people running, it's nauseating. One person says the other is a lobbyist, who then fights back by calling the opponent an extreme liberal, and it keeps goes back and forth. Not that the ads are wrong, but it still doesn't give me any pertinent information to which would convince me candidate A is better than candidate B. I just think that media and greed have defiled the democratic process of electing the right person for the right job and all we're doing when we vote is choosing the lesser of two evils. Brian Bilbray, the leading Republican candidate for the vacant seat say's he a conservative, but certain things have shown him to be just as liberal as his Democrat opponent, Francine Busby. So I don't know. I've almost reached a point where I'm damned if I vote, and I'm damned if I don't. In fact, I think the only thing keeping my immaculate voting record this year is the propositions, I want to vote for those. Even though none of my votes have ever gone the way I voted. For some reason the majority of Californian's want to make things harder and raise taxes for us. But as an American I shouldn't let go of my constitutional right just because it's futile and fatiguing.

And I'm not saying that this election is one out of a million, all elections that I've voted in, and many before that were just as bad as this one. The only thing that makes this one stand out is that I'm finally getting tired of it. The way things should be if it were a perfect democracy is that the people elect the better person based on their morals and wisdom and faithfulness to the constitution, not based on what they'll do for just the Republicans or just what they'll do for the Democrats, but for all. But I can see how that's a little hard when our nation is so obviously divided on both morals and wisdom.

California Students Too Stupid

Whaaa whaaa whaaa! California high school students are such babies. I stand by my statement that California is the worst state in the Union.

The California High School Exit Exam is a test given to all high school students as a requirement for graduation; they must pass it to be given a diploma. But now a judge in Oakland California earlier this week found that the exam is "unconstitutional" citing that it discriminates against the poor and non-English speaking student. This ruling will blocks the state from its plan to deny diplomas to the students that didn't pass the exam.

Ok, lets get something straight, if you go to public school, then you are expected to learn! The taxpayer's money is going towards your education. And if you cannot prove after 12 years of this education that you didn't learn anything then you are a waste of money and space in this nation. In a better school system the student's grades should speak for itself. If A's meant anything then there would be no need for this exam. But the degrading education system in California has forced the state to prove that the taxpayer's money isn't going to waste. How dare these students and parents sue because they can't pass the exam. It's "discriminating" Oh boo hoo hoo! Since our Constitution is written in English and our money is printed in English shouldn't our students be taught in English? Hey Paco, if your son can't read or speak English that's not our fault! "But we're too poor to get an edimikation." The state is providing a FREE education, that's the point! It doesn't take money to read out of a state provided book or write with a state provided pencil! Unless you're severely disabled or the teacher isn't doing their job there is no excuse for any California high school student not to pass this test. I asked someone who took the test, my little brother how hard the test was since he had to take it. He said it was the easiest of all the state tests he ever took. Now given my brother does speak English, comes from a middle-class family and who's father would come down on him if he didn't pass his classes. Even with all those obstacles he still found the exam easy enough to pass. So why can't other students pass it?

I just get mad at stupid things like this. You know what the only lesson here learned is? What has been taught to our youth here is that if something is too hard to do then just sue until the standards are dropped to an unacceptable level and you feel better about yourself. It's horrible.

Isreal Needs To Start Kicking Some Butt!

TEHRAN, Iran - A top Revolutionary Guards commander said Tuesday that Israel would be Iran's first retaliatory target in response to any U.S. attack, a provocative threat that reinforced the Iranian president's past call for Israel to be "wiped off the map."

"We have announced that wherever (in Iran) America does make any mischief, the first place we target will be Israel," the Iranian Student News Agency quoted Gen. Mohammad Ebrahim Dehghani as saying.

Dehghani, a top commander of the elite Revolutionary Guards, also said Israel was not prepared to go to war against Iran.

No one has brought up this issue because I don't think anyone notices it, which is very sad. The issue is the emasculation of our media and of our society. I'm talking about how not many sitcoms on prime time television shows men in a good light. Most men should be strong, dominant, masculine, mature, and the supporter of their family. But most sitcom shows on TV show a man that's painfully immature, weak, whinny, lazy and stupid. Where on the other side they portray the women as the stronghold of the house. The breadwinner, the one who has to pick up after the mans mistakes. The alpha character. Now I'm not saying that women cant be those characters, but when all of the characters on the prime time lineup are like that there is something alarming there.

Example, "Everybody Loves Raymond". The character Raymond (played by Ray Romano) is a selfish, lazy, golf crazed sports freak who doesn't help out in the home and is the biggest pansy when it comes to his relationship with his wife and mother. He is always getting into trouble with his wife. In real life she would have divorced his sorry ass years ago, but for comedy sake their marriage has lasted many seasons. What keeps the comedy going season after season is his over-bearing, intrusive mother who he has a hard time setting boundaries with. The mother hates the wife (who is the strongest of all of them) and the mother is always sabotaging their marriage. Raymond is the worst male on TV that Ive seen! I would just love to kick him in the balls just to see if he has any. But instead show after show he makes some stupid excuse for his mothers actions and makes his wife really mad. Hahahaha, the audience gets a good laugh and its over. Now in real life is Ray Romano like that? I have no idea. But on the show he seems to have no problem making people think that hes an incompetent pussy. Sure there are things married people can relate to, but it'd be sad if someone could relate to everything on that show. If I were Raymond's character Id tell my mom on the show to treat my wife with respect or don't come over at all! That's what he should have done on the first episode. But yet again, I doubt they'd get any ratings. Pussy men get ratings.

I could list in detail all of the shows that emasculate men, but that would take forever. So here is a short list: "Malcolm in the Middle", "Will and Grace", "Two and a Half Men", "7th Heaven", "Darmah and Greg", "King of Queens", "According to Jim", "Scrubs", "Fraiser", the list goes on. In these shows the leading male characters are weak, submissive, and to immature to take care of their own problems so they need a woman to do it for them. Is there not something wrong with that?

By them showing all these weak male characters they are stating a social commentary that our society produces weak men who solely depend on women for everything. That is not true. My parents raised me to be a self-sufficient, mature, smart, hard working man, everything that's opposite of these characters. I'm not dependant of a woman to take care of me, though it'd be nice. To say that, or to show its disrespect to strong men allover.

But on the other extreme I'm not saying thought that there should be shows promoting the abuse of women by the male characters. That's very wrong. I'm just saying that I see nothing wrong with a male character that is strong and supports the family without whining, or being walked all over by a female or does what he has to do because that's what men do! Boys in our society today, a lot don't have a father figure in their home so subconsciously they turn to TV to learn to be a man. But when there are no strong male role models they will turn out be like what they watch. This isn't an exact science, but it makes sense. You learn what you observe.

I think that the shows of today are the product of either A: sloppy market research, B: feminist network executives, or C: A society that finds nothing wrong in emasculating men for laughs. I think C is a more probable answer. Its sad, but the days of I Love Lucy are gone. Those kinds of shows were funny and yet didn't resort to demeaning the male characters, well, maybe Fred. Now given the shows I have listed are sitcoms, not dramas. There are a lot of TV shows that portray men in a strong light, i.e.: CSI, Navy NCIS, The Unit. But still the comedies of our time need to change. Id like to see next season a sitcom show that has a leading male character that is funny, but not weak or immature. But I doubt well see that on any of the major networks. I don't know.

Protestors Shut Down Schools

It just gets worse and worse. Now Middle and High School campuses in Oceanside, CA are shutting down for the rest of the week cause these stupid kids are out protesting and it’s causing the schools to lose money. So now not only there are protesting kids out there causing trouble, but also other kids are out that can cause trouble. It’s also costing the city more money with overtime pay to its Police. This is BULL!! This is really pissing me off! I can’t express my rage on this blog; I just want to beat the crap out of my wall I’m so pissed!

Regarding My Previous Post

I realize now that my previous post might have been a little harsh. I was really upset and have a cold, so I’m thinking a little irrationally today. But my anger still stands. What am I angry at? I am angry that American citizens and illegal aliens are protesting our government of doing its job, a job that should have been done a long time ago. It is this blogger’s belief that the majority of the students don’t even know what they are protesting, they are just following the crowd, literally, and if they knew what was really going on in Capitol Hill they would still be protesting, but not in the great numbers as there were today.

Do they have the right to protest? Yes! Do I have a right to complain and call them stupid? YES!! I don’t have a problem with people protesting, it’s their right. I just have a problem with what they’re protesting. Don’t get me wrong, every human including the illegal’s have a right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness, And in America you are given those rights. But not in Mexico and that’s why they’re coming here. I wouldn’t even mind them coming here illegally if it was just a little amount. But they are coming here in swarms! We cannot handle that; we cannot be the only parent on the block who feeds all the children in the neighborhood. It’s not feasible. It is the responsibility of the Mexican government to take care of their people, not ours. They have the natural and economic resources; they are just to corrupt to do anything. The United States should close off the border in bound and out and kick the ass of the Mexican government until they shape up. That should have been done before we went to Iraq. It’s surprising to me that no one is doing that. This is not something that can be fixed over night, it’s going to take years to fix. But my fear is that in that time things will advance so badly towards the worse that we are going to become divided even more. I don’t know. It really pisses me off.

Final thought: Protesting for protesting sake is a moral sin; protesting an unjust government is the responsibility of its people. I have seen no unjust actions on the side of our government regarding this. I only see a bunch of teenagers wanting to get out of class for a day.

Michael Morales raped and murdered a 17-year-old girl back in 1981 and was sentenced to death for his heinous crime. And now 25 years later when it's time for him to pay for his crime the liberals of California think that it’s cruel and unusual punishment to inject this scumbag citing that the patient might wake up and feel pain from the drug used to kill him. Have we lost our minds?! This a**hole raped and tortured a young girl and then took her innocent life! This sub-human deserves to have his balls cut off and... I'm digressing. This should not be an issue, we used to hang people and that wasn't cruel or unusual. No, cruel and unusual would be to make them listen to Barbra Streisand do a duet with Michael Moore, that is cruel. Our justice system is out of whack! We need to punish murders immediately, no 25 years of appeals. You're convicted you’re shot the next day. Heck; I'll even provide the state with the gun and bullet! And let the family do the shooting. That would be a lot cheaper than how it's done now. With all this auditing the Governor is doing with 'Kalifonyia' can't he find a cheaper way of executing our worst? Carbon Monoxide? Put them in a garage with the car running? I'm no psychopath so I’m not very inventive when it comes to killing people, but maybe the state could hire some Goth kids do come up with some ideas for them. (I’m not saying that Goth kids are psychopath!)

This week more Abu Ghraib 'torture' photos were released to the media because certain people have it in for America. Now don't get me wrong, what theses soldiers did is inexcusable and they deserve to be punish (maybe not as harsh as they did get though). So now, after all is said and done to play the blame game and continue this witch hunt does nothing more than to hurt our nation. And really, I don't think a few nude photos of people who use children as human shields is torture considering the fact that worse is done at fraternities across the nation. Seriously ACLU, who's side are you on? Let's put this black mark in our past. No, we should not erase it completely as to forget about it, we need to remember it so we don't repeat it, but every time the media brings it up its like putting lemon juice on a paper cut. Lets stop torturing Uncle Sam and go from here. In my opinion we should have forgone the embarrassing photos of the prisoners and just shot them. But that's just me.

This past weekend Vice President Richard ‘Dick’ Cheney was Quail hunting with some friends and he accidentally sprayed a fellow hunter with shotgun pellets from not knowing that that person was there. Now the press is having a field day with this. The press is upset that they were not informed immediately since it wasn’t until a few days later that it came out. They claim this is a cover up. Since when does the personal life of our VP need to be reported! “New Flash… Cheney uses the toilet, story at 11.” Some even have asked for Cheney’s resignation! Is this not the stupidest thing ever! It was a private event with private friends. Hunting accidents happen all the time and sometimes end with a death. No one was killed! The mainstream media has it in for the Bush administration and will do anything to give it a black mark and that’s why the negative spin. Cheney has apologized to the man that was injured, I know it was an accident, the man is doing fine there is no need for a public apology or for this to affect the VP’s job. This should not be an issue, at the most a few late night jokes and that’s it. Come on mainstream media, get your head’s out of you’re ass and start doing your job! You never did cover the story about Saddam’s right hand man revealing where Saddam hid the WMD’s! That story came out a few weeks ago, I’m still waiting!

The president gave his State of the Union address last night if you didn’t know. It wasn’t the greatest ever, but was refreshing. I’m glad he said what he did regarding the war, Iran and Hamas. I especially like how he addressed tyranny and that we cannot let it fester in some isolated part of the world. Our survival depends on liberty around the world. My favorite quote from him came when he was referring to the Democrats wanting a pull out of Iraq, he said, "There is no peace in retreat… and there is no honor in retreat." I loved that, so true it is. If we retreat we will show the entire world that we are weak and to take us over all our enemies have to do is propagandize a few liberals and we are fallen. I find it hard to believe that America is that, we are the ones who stood up a tyrannical monarchy 200 years ago; we faced a great civil war and overcame evil in our time. AMERICA DOES NOT GIVE UP! We cannot. I praise President Bush for what he has done, certain things I wish he would address more seriously, but I honestly believe that he is the right man, at the right time doing the right job that needs to be done.

Iraq's WMD Secreted in Syria, Sada Says

The man who served as the no. 2 official in Saddam Hussein's air force says Iraq moved weapons of mass destruction into Syria before the war by loading the weapons into civilian aircraft in which the passenger seats were removed.

The Iraqi general, Georges Sada, makes the charges in a new book, "Saddam's Secrets," released this week. He detailed the transfers in an interview yesterday with The New York Sun.

"There are weapons of mass destruction gone out from Iraq to Syria, and they must be found and returned to safe hands," Mr. Sada said. "I am confident they were taken over."

Mr. Sada's comments come just more than a month after Israel's top general during Operation Iraqi Freedom, Moshe Yaalon, told the Sun that Saddam "transferred the chemical agents from Iraq to Syria."

Democrats have made the absence of stockpiles of weapons of mass destruction in Iraq a theme in their criticism of the Bush administration's decision to go to war in 2003. And President Bush himself has conceded much of the point; in a televised prime-time address to Americans last month, he said, "It is true that many nations believed that Saddam had weapons of mass destruction. But much of the intelligence turned out to be wrong."

Said Mr. Bush, "We did not find those weapons."

The discovery of the weapons in Syria could alter the American political debate on the Iraq war. And even the accusations that they are there could step up international pressure on the government in Damascus. That government, led by Bashar Assad, is already facing a U.N. investigation over its alleged role in the assassination of a former prime minister of Lebanon. The Bush administration has criticized Syria for its support of terrorism and its failure to cooperate with the U.N. investigation.

The State Department recently granted visas for self-proclaimed opponents of Mr. Assad to attend a "Syrian National Council" meeting in Washington scheduled for this weekend, even though the attendees include communists, Baathists, and members of the Islamist Muslim Brotherhood group to the exclusion of other, more mainstream groups.

Mr. Sada, 65, told the Sun that the pilots of the two airliners that transported the weapons of mass destruction to Syria from Iraq approached him in the middle of 2004, after Saddam was captured by American troops.

"I know them very well. They are very good friends of mine. We trust each other. We are friends as pilots," Mr. Sada said of the two pilots. He declined to disclose their names, saying they are concerned for their safety. But he said they are now employed by other airlines outside Iraq.

The pilots told Mr. Sada that two Iraqi Airways Boeings were converted to cargo planes by removing the seats, Mr. Sada said. Then Special Republican Guard brigades loaded materials onto the planes, he said, including "yellow barrels with skull and crossbones on each barrel." The pilots said there was also a ground convoy of trucks.

The flights - 56 in total, Mr. Sada said - attracted little notice because they were thought to be civilian flights providing relief from Iraq to Syria, which had suffered a flood after a dam collapse in June of 2002.

"Saddam realized, this time, the Americans are coming," Mr. Sada said. "They handed over the weapons of mass destruction to the Syrians."

Mr. Sada said that the Iraqi official responsible for transferring the weapons was a cousin of Saddam Hussein named Ali Hussein al-Majid, known as "Chemical Ali." The Syrian official responsible for receiving them was a cousin of Bashar Assad who is known variously as General Abu Ali, Abu Himma, or Zulhimawe.

Short of discovering the weapons in Syria, those seeking to validate Mr. Sada's claim independently will face difficulty. His book contains a foreword by a retired U.S. Air Force colonel, David Eberly, who was a prisoner of war in Iraq during the first Gulf War and who vouches for Mr. Sada, who once held him captive, as "an honest and honorable man."

In his visit to the Sun yesterday, Mr. Sada was accompanied by Terry Law, the president of a Tulsa, Oklahoma based Christian humanitarian organization called World Compassion. Mr. Law said he has known Mr. Sada since 2002, lived in his house in Iraq and had Mr. Sada as a guest in his home in America. "Do I believe this man? Yes," Mr. Law said. "It's been solid down the line and everything checked out."

Said Mr. Law, "This is not a publicity hound. This is a man who wants peace putting his family on the line."

Mr. Sada acknowledged that the disclosures about transfers of weapons of mass destruction are "a very delicate issue." He said he was afraid for his family. "I am sure the terrorists will not like it. The Saddamists will not like it," he said.

He thanked the American troops. "They liberated the country and the nation. It is a liberation force. They did a great job," he said. "We have been freed."

He said he had not shared his story until now with any American officials. "I kept everything secret in my heart," he said. But he is scheduled to meet next week in Washington with Senators Sessions and Inhofe, Republicans of, respectively, Alabama and Oklahoma. Both are members of the Senate Armed Services Committee.

The book also says that on the eve of the first Gulf War, Saddam was planning to use his air force to launch a chemical weapons attack on Israel.

When, during an interview with the Sun in April 2004, Vice President Cheney was asked whether he thought that Iraqi weapons of mass destruction had been moved to Syria, Mr. Cheney replied only that he had seen such reports.

An article in the Fall 2005 Middle East Quarterly reports that in an appearance on Israel's Channel 2 on December 23, 2002, Israel's prime minister, Ariel Sharon, stated, "Chemical and biological weapons which Saddam is endeavoring to conceal have been moved from Iraq to Syria." The allegation was denied by the Syrian government at the time as "completely untrue," and it attracted scant American press attention, coming as it did on the eve of the Christmas holiday.

The Syrian ruling party and Saddam Hussein had in common the ideology of Baathism, a mixture of Nazism and Marxism.

Syria is one of only eight countries that has not signed the Chemical Weapons Convention, a treaty that obligates nations not to stockpile or use chemical weapons. Syria's chemical warfare program, apart from any weapons that may have been received from Iraq, has long been the source of concern to America, Israel, and Lebanon. In March 2004, the director of Central Intelligence, George Tenet, testified before the Senate Armed Services Committee, saying, "Damascus has an active CW development and testing program that relies on foreign suppliers for key controlled chemicals suitable for producing CW."

The CIA's Iraq Survey Group acknowledged in its September 30, 2004, "Comprehensive Report," "we cannot express a firm view on the possibility that WMD elements were relocated out of Iraq prior to the war. Reports of such actions exist, but we have not yet been able to investigate this possibility thoroughly."

Mr. Sada is an unusual figure for an Iraqi general as he is a Christian and was not a member of the Baath Party. He now directs the Iraq operations of the Christian humanitarian organization, World Compassion.

A New Year

For some reason people (usually in a state of inebriation) think that once that bright ball drops in New York at midnight on December 31st that all the problems of the past year go away. “It’s a new year, a time for change!” Yes, it is a new year, but what has changes? New laws go into effect, a new tax year starts, and a new calendar on the wall. But really, the problems of the past are still there. The threat of terrorism has not gone away. Iraq is still to unstable for the US to leave, and the mental disorder of liberalism still plagues our nation like a cancer.

Now don’t get me wrong, a lot has happened from 2004 to 2005 that you can say is good. But in the grand scheme of things, things don’t look reassuring. Why for this extremely pessimistic view? In my opinion this planet doesn’t have much time left. The ‘good ol’ days’ that are talked about by our grandparents are just whispers in the wind and this ‘bright future’ that liberal’s speak of is nothing more than an illusion concocted in some UC Berkley art class. The world is in a self-destruct mode; the countdown has begun. Now I cant say I am surprised, this has been prophesied in the Bible, all the signs are there. But even if you don’t believe as I do in the truth of the Bible you still have to admit that the world is in danger. Every nation on the planet is at war in some form with someone else. And not only that but we see nation being destroyed right before our eyes not from bombs or terrorism, but from their own government. Even in the US our rights are being stolen right from under us. AND I’M NOT TALKING ABOUT THE PATRIOT ACT! I’m talking about our rights to keep and bear arms, our right to say a prayer in public, our right to not have our home taken away in the name of the economy, and our right to a moral society. All these things are tearing our nation apart. If any of these things had happened 200 years ago we would have gone to war to stop it… oh wait, we DID!

I don’t want go any further with writing this, its stuff I’ve said before, I’m just reiteration it for a new year. I just wanted for you all to understand the reality of things; the end time is near. Maybe not the rapture, Jesus might not come for another 1000 years, but the end of the United States and the world as we know is slowly coming around. Unless people grow some sort of common sense and morals the clock keeps ticking to our dooms day.

They have gone to far!

When I was a young boy my favorite game was 'war'. My friends and I would get together with our camouflage pants, army belt and toy guns and would pretend that we are in a battle doing our duty of defending our country. I remember it so vividly, we would take bunker in a tree house waiting for the attack, avoiding land minds (dog poop) and repeating phrases we heard in the movies. "Bravo flank left... Charlie in the tree!" And when we'd get bored we'd head in the house and take out our GI Joe's and continue the battle. Those were great times.

But those times are over. Today that innocence of youth wants to be stolen by PC groups who want nothing more than to turn our young boys into 'pink' wearing pansies. The anti-American group Code Pink is trying to remove what they concider 'pro-war propoganda' toys from store shelves. They say and I quote:

"Every holiday season manufactures prey on our children with pro-war propaganda disguised as innocent toys. Don't let your child be a victim of G.I. Joe! As you're out buying holiday gifts, make a point this year to show little ones that war is not game. Set an example for the children in your life and use the opportunity to teach them non-violence.

Dress up in awesome pink camouflage gear or wear a fun holiday costume like an elf and stand outside stores that sell war toys with anti-war toy banners reminding gift buyers to shop responsibly. Hand out flyer's to shoppers about why they shouldn't buy them and give them suggestions for alternative gifts they can purchase for the little ones in their lives.

Place "surgeon general-type" warning labels on war toys in the stores. Simple mailing labels that you can print off at home are perfect for this action. Use the samples below or get creative and design your own."

They think that if little Billy gets a GI Joe for Christmas (notice how they were being 'PC' by saying holiday) then he is going to grow up and become either A: a horribly violent rapist or B: might want to become a soldier and defend his country someday. I think they are more afraid of answer B.

This is beyond disturbing; I don't know what to say. Just when you thought the World couldn't get any worse it throws you a curve ball. I just think that these people really want to see the United States fall. To preserve a nation's sovereignty you must raise your children as Patriotic citizens who will be willing to fight someday for their freedom. If we teach our kids that all violence is bad, that war is bad, that fighting for your freedom is bad then the enemy has won and we might as well just raise our hands in the air now and wait for our execution. I don't believe that we have reached that point yet, but if there are groups out there like Code Pink who want to hurt America then it's not to far fetched to think that it someday could happen.

Oh, and just if you wanted to know whatever became of my friends who I used to play war with, they are all now serving their country in the Marines fighting so these 'Code Pukes' can protest. God Bless America!

Time To Take Action Now!

PRESIDENT BUSH has labeled Iraq "the Central Front in the War on Terror."

Bush is wrong. The Central Front in the War on Terror is now Washington, D.C. Howard Dean, the chairman of the Democratic Party, has publicly declared that we can't win in Iraq , and is calling for a phased withdrawal. House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi has also jumped on the "cut and run" bandwagon.

I'm FIGHTING MAD about this. Dean's remarks amount to a betrayal of all the military personnel who have toiled, bled, and sacrificed to liberate Iraq from the shadow of tyranny and terror. I can understand and accept that some politicians opposed the decision to go to war. I can take on board constructive criticism about how the war is being conducted. But once we're in, we're in to win. Dean's defeatist talk is not only counter-productive and demoralizing, it's downright dangerous.

It is now abundantly clear that this war will be won or lost on Capitol Hill. If the Democrats fall in line behind their leadership, their next move will be an attempt to force a cut in funding for Iraq. The U.S. military can take on and defeat any armed foe, but we can't beat Congress. If we lose this battle, it's over.

Until recently, I considered Dean, Pelosi, and company to be loyal opposition: politicians with whom I could respectfully disagree. I now consider them to be my enemy. I will do everything legally within my power to see that their agenda is defeated.

I'm calling on all like-minded, loyal Americans to join me in this fight. Our weapons will be every form of mass communication that we can muster: the telephone, the Internet, the postal system, radio, and television. It is time to stand up and be heard.

We will bombard our elected representatives with a concerted volley of counter-battery fire against the "cut and run" agenda of Dean, Pelosi & Co. The enemy is making similar preparations.

The time is now. Not next week. Not after Christmas. Now.

Why? Because in two weeks, Congress will recess for the Christmas break. That is when the representatives will go home to their districts and begin their re-election campaigns. This is our last chance to frame the issues before the campaigns get underway.

The enemy has already begun pressuring Congress to abandon Iraq. MoveOn, True Majority, Peace Action, Code Pink, Progressive Democrats of America, WAND, AfterDowningStreet.org and Democrats.com are all organizing massive call-in campaigns. Now is the time to commence our counter-attack. If we fail to respond, we cede the field to the enemy.

If you have hang-ups about getting involved in politics, get over it. It's time to bite the bullet and make your stand.

MISSION ONE: CALL CONGRESS

This is the simplest and most effective way to make your opinion count. It only takes a few minutes, and everyone can do it.

4. First, give your name, and state clearly that you are a registered voter in your Congressman's district.

5. Next, state the reason for your call. Don't beat around the bush: "I'm calling to urge Representative Jones to..."

6. If your Representative is a steadfast supporter of the mission, you are calling to thank him for his support of the military, and to encourage him not to back down in the face of the opposition.

If your Representative is "on the fence" (this covers most Democrats), you are calling to thank him for his previous support of the military, and urging him to not to abandon the mission now that real progress is being made. Cite specific examples, such as the two rounds of successful elections (the third and final round is next week), the progress being made by the Iraqi Security Forces (as reported by Senator Joe Lieberman), and the fact that many Sunnis are now joining the political process. Be brief, but be sure to hit the main points.

Finally, if your Representative is one of the few arguing for a premature withdrawal, be courteous, but give 'em Hell. Make it clear that you oppose his position. Use words like "disappointed," "let down," and "betrayed." Demand that he reconsiders his position. You won't change his mind, but you just might get him to tone down his defeatist rhetoric.

7. Once you've delivered your message, thank the staffer for listening, and remind him that you will be watching the Representative's response very closely on this issue.

Why We Fight

The other day, my nine-year-old son wanted to know why we were at war...My husband looked at our son and then looked at me. My husband and I were in the Army during the Gulf War and we would be honored to serve and defend our Country again today. I knew that my husband would give him a good explanation. My husband thought for a few minutes and then told my son to go stand in our front living room window.

He said "Son, stand there and tell me what you see?"

"I see trees and cars and our neighbor's houses." he replied.

"OK, now I want you to pretend that our house and our yard is the United States of America and you are President Bush."

Our son giggled and said "OK."

"Now son, I want you to look out the window and pretend that every house and yard on this block is a different country" my husband said.

"OK Dad, I'm pretending."

"Now I want you to stand there and look out the window and pretend you see Saddam come out of his house with his wife, he has her by the hair and is hitting her. You see her bleeding and crying. He hits her in the face, he throws her on the ground, then he starts to kick her to death. Their children run out and are afraid to stop him, they are screaming and crying, they are watching this but do nothing because they are kids and they are afraid of their father. You see all of this, son....what do you do?"

"Dad?"

"What do you do son?"

"I'd call the police, Dad."

"OK. Pretend that the police are the United Nations. They take your call. They listen to what you know and saw but they refuse to help. What do you do then son?"

"Dad.......... but the police are supposed to help!" My son starts to whine.

"They don't want to son, because they say that it is not their place or your place to get involved and that you should stay out of it," my husband says.

"But Dad...he killed her!!" my son exclaims.

"I know he did...but the police tell you to stay out of it. Now I want you to look out that window and pretend you see our neighbor who you're pretending is Saddam turn around and do the same thing to his children."

"Daddy...he kills them?"

"Yes son, he does. What do you do?"

"Well, if the police don't want to help, I will go and ask my next door neighbor to help me stop him." our son says.

"Son, our next door neighbor sees what is happening and refuses to get involved as well. He refuses to open the door and help you stop him," my husband says.

"But Dad, I NEED help!!! I can't stop him by myself!!"

"WHAT DO YOU DO SON?" Our son starts to cry.

"OK, no one wants to help you, the man across the street saw you ask for help and saw that no one would help you stop him. He stands taller and puffs out his chest. Guess what he does next son?"

"What Daddy?"

"He walks across the street to the old ladies house and breaks down her door and drags her out, steals all her stuff and sets her house on fire and then...he kills her. He turns around and sees you standing in the window and laughs at you. WHAT DO YOU DO?"

"Daddy..."

"WHAT DO YOU DO?" Our son is crying and he looks down and he whispers, "I'd close the blinds, Daddy."

My husband looks at our son with tears in his eyes and asks him. "Why?"

"Because Daddy...the police are supposed to help people who needs them...and they won't help.... You always say that neighbors are supposed to HELP neighbors, but they won't help either...they won't help me stop him...I'm afraid.... I can't do it by myself Daddy...I can't look out my window and just watch him do all these terrible things and…. and..... do nothing...so.... I’m just going to close the blinds.... so
I can't see what he's doing...and I'm going to pretend that it is not happening."

I start to cry. My husband looks at our nine year old son standing in the window, looking pitiful and ashamed at his answers to my husband's questions and he says...

"Son"

"Yes, Daddy."

"Open the blinds because that man.... he's at your front door... "WHAT DO YOU DO?"

My son looks at his father, anger and defiance in his eyes. He balls up his tiny fists and looks his father square in the eyes, without hesitation he says: "I DEFEND MY FAMILY DAD!! I'M NOT GONNA LET HIM HURT MOMMY OR MY SISTER, DAD!!! I'M GONNA FIGHT HIM, DAD, I'M GONNA FIGHT HIM!!!!!"

I see a tear roll down my husband's cheek and he grabs our son to his chest and hugs him tight, and says... "It's too late to fight him, he's too strong and he's already at YOUR front door son.....you should have stopped him BEFORE he killed his wife, and his children and the old lady across the way. You have to do what's right, even if you have to do it alone, before its too late." my husband whispers. THAT scenario I just gave you is WHY we are at war with Iraq. When good men stand by and let evil happen son, THAT is the greatest atrocities in the world won't affect him. "YOU MUST NEVER BE AFRAID TO DO WHAT IS RIGHT! EVEN IF YOU HAVE TO DO IT ALONE!" BE PROUD TO BE AN AMERICAN! BE PROUD OF OUR TROOPS!! SUPPORT THEM!!! SUPPORT AMERICA SO THAT IN THE FUTURE OUR CHILDREN WILL NEVER HAVE TO CLOSE THEIR BLINDS..."

This should be printed in every newspaper and posted in every school in America. Of course that won't happen so we'll use the Internet. If your blinds are closed do nothing with this email. If they are open I do not need to tell you what to do.

(AgapePress) - A Massachusetts man who was arrested after objecting to the discussion of homosexuality and transgenderism in his son's kindergarten class is no longer being barred from all school property in the town of Lexington. Nevertheless, he says his dispute with the school district is far from settled.

In April, Lexington parent David Parker was arrested and jailed after refusing to leave Estabrook Elementary School until administrators acknowledged his right to be notified before adults discussed homosexuality and other controversial sexuality issues with his son in class. At the same time, the Lexington schools superintendent issued a ban against him, prohibiting him from setting foot on any school property -- even to drop off or pick up his son or to vote at school facilities that doubled as polling places.

Last month Parker was cleared of all charges when law enforcement authorities opted not to pursue the matter. The district continued, however, to bar him from school property up until last week, when he was informed by letter that the ban against him was being lifted.
Nevertheless, the concerned father says his battle for parental rights continues. "I'm pleasantly surprised that I'm allowed back on school grounds and I won't be arrested," he notes. "However, this whole issue is by no means over. It has not been resolved and, in a sense, it's just beginning."

That is because, even though Lexington Schools Superintendent Paul Ash has dropped the "No Trespass Notice" prohibiting Parker's access to district property, the school official still refuses to allow the schools to notify parents when homosexuality is going to be discussed in the classroom. That is a policy the Massachusetts dad is determined to see overturned.

Superintendent Ash "is hiding behind a misinterpretation of the Parental Notification Law to avoid, basically, telling parents the truth," Parker asserts, "and it's not going to work." According to the state law, he points out, Massachusetts schools are required to adopt and publish policies ensuring that parents and guardians be notified about "any curriculum that primarily involves human sexual education or human sexuality issues, and permitting them to exempt their children from any portion of that curriculum without penalty."
The Massachusetts law also requires the schools to make instructional materials for such curricula "reasonably accessible to parents, guardians and others for inspection and review." Still, Parker contends, Superintendent Ash continues to trample parental rights by refusing to comply.

"Parents absolutely have the right to be aware of how and when discussions of homosexuality, transgenderism, and gay relationships are being affirmed and validated in the minds of their own children," the embattled parent says. "The schools claim that they want to partner with parents, but good faith partnering of schools with parents requires giving the information to the parents when those parents make their requests known."
In dropping the ban against Parker, Ash wrote him a letter suggesting that he "avoid disrupting the school environment and operations." But considering the fact that Parker was cleared of the criminal trespassing charge leveled against him, the Lexington father feels the letter is defamatory and says he may file a lawsuit against the school superintendent.

Fairfax, VA - Even with opposition from San Francisco law enforcement and major media outlets, Proposition H -- a measure banning the lawful possession, sale and manufacture of handguns and ammunition within city limits -- passed yesterday. The National Rifle Association (NRA) will file a lawsuit challenging this severe gun ban.

NRA Executive Vice President Wayne LaPierre stated, “We are disappointed, but this fight is just beginning. Lawful residents of San Francisco are being stripped of their freedom because of an illegal measure that defies common sense. We will fight this outrageous assault on the rights of law-abiding San Franciscans and I believe that we will prevail.”

Many San Francisco residents who initially supported the ban changed their opinion after NRA and local volunteers began voter education efforts throughout the city. The campaign received an additional boost when the San Francisco Police Officers Association condemned the gun ban, declaring it would "nullify the personal choice of city residents to lawfully possess a handgun for self-defense purposes.” Major San Francisco newspapers also voiced opposition to Proposition H.

In response to the passage of this proposition, NRA will lead a coalition of organizations to immediately file a lawsuit against this illegal ban in San Francisco. Proposition H, in addition to violating federal guarantees, also violates various California state laws and is therefore preempted.

Chris W. Cox, NRA’s chief lobbyist, concluded, “This is a hollow victory for the gun control lobby because this scheme is in clear violation of California law. We will file suit and fight this to the highest courts in the country until good sense prevails once again in San Francisco.”

President Bush has authorized the Joint Chiefs to begin drawing up a battle plan to pull France's chestnuts out of the fire again. Facing an apparent overwhelming force of up to 400 angry teenagers, Mr. Bush apparently doubts France's ability to hold them off. "If the last two world wars are any indication, I would expect France to surrender to the little pissants any day now," said Bush.

Joint Chiefs Chairman Gen. Peter Pace warned the President that it might be necessary to send up to 5 Marines in order to gain control. The general admitted that 5 Marines may be overkill, but he said he wanted to be assured of gaining operational and strategic control within 24 hours of arriving on scene. He stated, however, that although he was having a hard time finding even one Marine volunteer to help "those ungrateful bastards" out for a third time, he thought that he could persuade a few female Marines to do the job before they went on maternity leave.

In an attempt to blend in with the locals, President Bush suggested Gen. Pace make sure the marines did not take soap, razors, or deodorant with them.

Avian Flu Hype
When I turn on the TV and watch the news the one segment that makes me turn the channel is anything regarding the avian flu pandemic. I get so depressed that I turn to something that will make me happy. Am I hiding from it? Yes! But do I care about it? Of course! If you are like me and have the weight of the world on your shoulders then this might help relieve some of your woes. Even though President Bush has called for plans to combat this outbreak ‘when’ it happens some other experts aren’t as worried as the President is. Why? Well, here are their reasons.

This flu they say is similar to the 1918 Spanish flu that kill more than 20 million people in that time period. They say that this will be just as devastating as before. But others are not as worried because of some simple facts. One is that the avian flu (which is a bird flu) has not crossed over to humans yet. The only connection that they have is that a person who worked around the birds with the flu developed antibodies from it. Also medicine has come a very long ways since then. Back in 1918 people were mostly dieing from secondary infections like pneumonia. Today we have knowledge of these things and know how to combat basic bacterial infections. And according to the World Health Organization (WHO) this is only a Phase 3 pandemic alert. Phase 3 is defined as: A virus new to humans is causing infections, but does not spread easily from one person to another. Also as Americans we don’t have direct interaction with Asian birds so for us to get it here in the states it would require the foul or a human carrier to be here. Our government I would hope knows this and would do something to stop it from reaching us. And lastly, a computer simulated study showed that by simply stockpiling doses of the antiviral medication Tamiflu and maintaining local vigilance, the flu would be contained in the event of an outbreak. This gives us hope.

All in all I commend the President for what he is doing even if in the end it might seem like overkill. I’d rather be safe than sorry. But also I must remember that in the end, its Christ’s will that will decide our fate. What we must do is pray for God’s protection and that his will be done.

Remember The Cole

The morning of October 12, 2000 the USS Cole was docked in the harbor of Aden, Yemen for a fuel stop, noting out of the ordinary. But that morning at around 11:18 local time a small craft approached the port side of the destroyer ship carrying explosive with one purpose, destroy the Cole by suicide bombers! An explosion created a 40 X 40 foot gash in the port side of the Cole killing 17 Sailors and injuring 39 more.

Now the guardsmen at the post that morning saw this craft approaching with the explosives but could do nothing about it due to the standing "Rules Of Engagement" set by the Pentagon, they had to get the captains permission first. The guards could either have fired on the craft and been quart marshaled or let 17 of their fellow sailors die. All in all, they did what they were supposed to do; follow orders.

In November 2002, the CIA killed Abu Ali al-Harithi, a planner of the bombing plot and on September 29, 2004 a Yemeni judge sentenced Abd al-Rahim al-Nashiri and Jamal al-Badawi to death for their roles in the bombing. Justice has been served.

So today, as a memorial, I would like to post the names of the brave men and women who lost their lives serving their country.

God Is Illegal (pt2)

In 1989 a single solitary disgruntled atheist, tired of seeing how happy Christians were decided to get back at them by calling a 50 year old cross that sat atop a war memorial in San Diego ‘unconstitutional’. He filed a lawsuit and a battle perused that has now been going on for over 16 years. But finally in 2005, after millions of wasted tax dollars the San Diego city council, trying to recover from one scandalous affair after another finally did the right thing and allowed the decision of where the land and the cross should go up to the voters. And oh how the voters did! Realizing that this atheist must have been lacking proper oxygen flow to his brain as a child they decided with 76% of the vote to transferring the land to the Fed’s therefore allowing the cross to stay. And thus ending this disgruntled atheist’s battle against Christianity; all’s well that ends well right…NO!

Apparently there is more than one atheist in this state and sadly that one atheist is a judge, a judge of the Superior Court, which unfortunately has the final say on the matter. So as of October 6, three months after the PEOPLE decided what to do with it, one woman, one angry woman, one angry God hating woman decided that the entire thing is ‘unconstitutional’! The cross, the transfer, and even the votes. This judge overruled what 76% of San Diego decided. I didn’t know that she could do that but you learn something new every day right? So as I sit writing this that cross has to come down because one man and one judge are more powerful than 76% of voting San Diegan’s. I wish this were a morose joke but sadly its not. God is now illegal!

I don’t know if this is truly the end of the line for the cross, but I do know that this is the beginning of the end for the United States, as we know it. The day we turn our backs on God is the day God turns His back on us. And when that judgment day comes, I pray to the Almightily that he have mercy on the souls of that Judge and that disgruntled atheist. (And maybe that guy at Starbucks who got my order wrong.)

We Need Change 2

The mainstream media in this nation has taken the Second Amendment and turned it into a vessel to spew Anti-American sentiment. Yes they have a right to freedom of speech. Yes they have a right to be heard. Yes they have a right to their own opinion. But NO, they don’t have a right to tell lies and pass them off as facts. And NO they don’t have the right to endanger U.S. soldiers fighting a war by their irresponsible and slanted reporting. What am I talking about? I am talking about the countless times that the mainstream media has either put our soldiers in harms way or threatened their honor by mislead, unfounded, out of context stories. Example: Fall of 2004 when the U.S. military took Fallujah – A Marine, tired from fighting the day before, and the day before that and so on enters a mosque that is supposed to be 'holy' according to these Jihadist where he finds a man slumped over in a position where he cannot tell if this man is truly injured or holding a gun or grenade. If past experiences tell him anything then this man more likely is hiding something dangerous. Not to risk his life finding out he shoots the man in self-defense while a news camera that has been with this unit captures it all in its ENTIRTY! Now days before this incident this Marine witnessed his best friend, a Medic, (who was trying to help a wounded insurgent) and some other fellow marines get blown up just because this unlawful combatant didn't want to honor the sanctuary of honorable surrender. But when it gets back to the states where it is broadcasted on every new channel and talk show on air they are saying that this Marine 'appeared' to be shooting an unarmed citizen. They cry out "murderer!" and now this Marine’s honor, and sense of instinct are all in jeopardy, the next time he is in a position like that he might second guess his actions fearing the actions of the people at home and BAM! he’s dead, shot by a dishonorable enemy. Now tell me this isn’t irresponsible journalism? The camera following knew of this so thus the people reporting this news must have to have know. But they didn’t want to report it. Telling the people of America that we are winning a War isn’t news, its propaganda! Right? This gross misuse of the second amendment is despicable. I could give countless more examples where the media has does these sorts of things but that would take away from my point so I wont digress any further. The mainstream media is working overtime to destroy America. They want us to lose just because they didn’t win. They rather see the honor and courage and safety of a soldier be desecrated than admit that they were wrong. Wrong about their false lies on our President, wrong about what the people of America wanted, and wrong about what they report. The mainstream media is a small strand of cancer part of a larger strand that is destroying this nation. Their goal is to see the wrong people in office doing the wrong things. I don’t know how else to put it. Their lies, their ill attempts at thwarting our military, their whole ideology must be stopped otherwise they will win and that second amendment will mean nothing.

Here in California we are about to have a special election in November. There are 8 propositions (73-80) on the ballot, I am going to talk about one of them today.

Proposition 75: Public Employee Union Dues. Restrictions on Political Contributions. Employee Consent Requirement

Prohibits using public employee union dues for political contributions without individual employees' prior consent. Excludes contributions benefiting charities or employees. Requires unions to maintain and, upon request, report member political contributions to Fair Political Practices Commission.

My intake on this is that this is a law whose time has come. How dare these unions use employee’s money to fund political agendas other than the employees! I know someone close to me who works for the public school system and I know that this person’s political beliefs aren’t what their unions is. For example the teacher unions in California are leftist Democrats and they encourage their employees to vote the same, but if you are a Republican you still are supporting the Democrat agenda by paying dues into the union with no control where the money goes. That is wrong!

Back in 2002 a man from Pennsylvania sued and won because he was paying dues to an education union that was supporting an agenda that he was against (homosexuality and opposing home schooling). With this law these things should not happen anymore. They will have to get the employees written consent to use their money for that purpose. That is how it should have been from the beginning but was not. I say vote YES on Prop 75.

Anti-War Protest In San Diego

Saturday September 24, 2005 about 1,000 anti-war demonstrators congregated at Balboa Park to protest the war in Iraq and our continued presence there even after the end of major combat. Their main message: "Bush is a criminal and bring the troops home NOW!"

But joining them was the San Diego Protest Warriors. We met on the other side of Laurel street to counter demonstrate their message and send a great THANK YOU to our troops for the hard work and sacrifices they have given to their county. While the hippies were spewing their propaganda we were showing what supporting the troops really meant.

I don't know what more to say, it was the same old stuff from both sides. I had a good time so I call it a success. If you like here is an article from the San Diego Union Tribune and what they saw.

A report released this week by the United Nations confirms what law-abiding Americans have known for quite some time. That being that criminals prefer victims who cannot fight back.

Based on a crime survey of the world's top industrialized countries, the U.N. report indicates that a resident of the United Kingdom is nearly 3 times more likely to become a victim of violent assault than is a citizen of the United States. The report reveals that Scotland is the most violent country in the industrialized world with over 2,000 Scots attacked every week, which amounts to about 3 percent of the population on an annual basis. England and Wales are close behind with 2.8 percent of the population falling victim to violent assault. By comparison, Americans are victimized by violent offenders at a rate of 1.2 percent.

These latest crime figures are a snapshot of the upward spiral of violent crime in the United Kingdom. The rate of violent crime in the UK continues to grow despite the passage of successively more restrictive laws governing private firearm ownership. While violent crime in the UK has been ramping up, the rate of similar crimes in the United States has been declining -- thanks in large part to the passage of "concealed carry" laws in over four dozen states.

"Criminals are cowards," commented ISRA Executive Director Richard Pearson. "They like nothing better than to come upon prey that is unable to put up much resistance. Here in the United States, over 80 million citizens own firearms - a fact that makes cowardly crooks very nervous. On the other hand, thanks to sweeping gun bans, the average British subject is little more than a sitting duck. With little fear of being shot by potential victims, British thugs are free to run the streets, committing murder and mayhem with near impunity."

"For years we have heard the American gun control movement crow about how the UK is quickly becoming a gun-free utopia," continued Pearson. "To the contrary, these latest UN figures demonstrate that the UK is a place where violence is quickly replacing the rule of law."

"The UN figures illustrate the folly of gun control," said Pearson. "It's time for our political leaders to rise in support of the basic human right of self defense. It's time for Illinois to join the 46 states that allow law-abiding citizens to carry defensive firearms. It's time for Illinois citizens to enjoy the bounties of liberty rather than suffer the indignities of victimization as do their British counterparts."

God Is Illegal

Wednesday (9/14/05) U.S. District Judge Lawrence Karlton in San Francisco ruled that the Pledge of Allegiance is unconstitutional due to its reference to God. Because of this a few schools in Northern California now are restricted from participating in this traditional morning routine.

Now you may be asking why "Under God" in the pledge so important? Answer: because our rights and powers as citizens and as Man come from our Creator: Jesus Christ, NOT the government! God gave us our basic rights of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. And we form governments to protect these rights; saying "under God" acknowledges this. That is why our founding fathers drafted our constitution so that our government answers to the people, and the people to God. When the people infringe upon other people's rights then the government steps in and stops it. But when the government infringes upon the people's rights then the people have a right to step in and stop it, through a democratic process or a revolution.

Adding under God does not infringe on anyone's rights. No one is forced to say it, and if you don't believe in God that is your choice. But don't make others stop practicing their believes just cause you don't like it. God is the reason why our nation is so great and prosperous. He has blessed us above any other nation because we are a nation that recognizes Him as the one true God and we worship Him for that. But once we turn our back on Him, he no longer will be able to bless us. What happened in New Orleans and the surrounding areas is a prime example of his judgment; what happened there will be ten fold of His judgment for this decision. If you want for America to be here tomorrow for your children and grandchildren we MUST keep this a nation UDER GOD!

Who To Blame

Before you start blaming our President lets take a look at the chain of responsibility for the protection of the citizens in New Orleans:

The Mayor
The New Orleans director of Homeland Security (a political appointee of the Governor who reports to the Governor)
The Governor
The Head of Homeland Security
The President

What did each do?

1. The mayor, with 5 days advance, waited until 2 days before he announced a mandatory evacuation (at the request of the President). Then he failed to provide transportation for those without transport even though he had hundreds of buses at his disposal which are now under water.

2. The New Orleans director of Homeland Security failed to have any plan for a contingency that has been talked about for 50 years. Then he blames the Feds for not doing what he should have done.

3. The Governor, despite a declaration of disaster by the President 2 DAYS BEFORE the storm hit, failed to take advantage of the offer of Federal troops and aid. Until 2 DAYS AFTER the storm hit.

4. The Director of Homeland Security positioned assets in the area to be ready when the Governor called for them

5. The President urged a mandatory evacuation, and even declared a disaster State of Emergency, freeing up millions of dollars of federal assistance, should the Governor decide to use it.

Oh and by the way, the levees that broke were the responsibility of the local landowners and the local levee board to maintain, NOT THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT. They were told in 2002 that this EXACT situation would happen. Everyone there just thought “Not on my watch.”

The disaster in New Orleans is what you get after decades of corrupt government going all the way back to Huey Long. Funds for disaster protection and relief have been flowing into this city for decades, and where has it gone, but into the pockets of the politicians and their friends. Decades of socialist government in New Orleans has sapped all self-reliance from the community, and made them dependent upon government for every little thing. Political correctness and a lack of will to fight crime have created the single most corrupt police force in the country, and has permitted gang violence to flourish. The sad thing is that there are many poor folks who have suffered and died needlessly because those that they voted into office failed them.

For those who missed item 5 (where the President's level of accountability is discussed), it is made more clear in a New Orleans Times-Picayune article dated August 28:

NEW ORLEANS (AP) - In the face of a catastrophic Hurricane Katrina, a mandatory evacuation was ordered Sunday for New Orleans by Mayor Ray Nagin. Acknowledging that large numbers of people, many of them stranded tourists, would be unable to leave, the city set up 10 places of last resort for people to go, including the Superdome. The mayor called the order unprecedented and said anyone who could leave the city should. He exempted hotels from the evacuation order because airlines had already canceled all flights. Gov. Kathleen Blanco, standing beside the mayor at a news conference, said President Bush called and personally appealed for a mandatory evacuation for the low-lying city, which is prone to flooding. The ball was placed in Mayor Nagin's court to carry out the evacuation order. With a 5-day heads-up, he had the authority to use any and all services to evacuate all residents from the city, as documented in a city emergency preparedness plan. By waiting until the last minute, and failing to make full use of resources available within city limits, Nagin and his administration fouled up. Mayor Nagin and his emergency sidekick Terry Ebbert have displayed lethal, mind-boggling incompetence before, during and after Katrina. As for Mayor Nagin, he and his profile in pathetic leadership police chief should resign as well. That city's government is incompetent from one end to the other.

The people of New Orleans deserve better than their incompetent leaders are giving them. If you're keeping track, these elected officials let 569 buses that could have carried 33,350 people out of New Orleans in one trip get ruined in the floods. Whatever plan these guys had, it was a dud. Or it probably would have been if they'd bothered to follow it. As for all the race-baiting rhetoric and Bush-bashing coming from prominent blacks on the left, don't expect Ray Nagin to be called out on the carpet for falling short. You want to know why? Here's why:

It's more convenient to blame a white president for what went wrong than to hold a black mayor and his administration accountable for gross negligence and failing to fully carry out an established emergency preparedness plan.

And as a side note, The Red Cross had trucks with water, food, hygiene equipment and all sorts of things ready to go to the Superdome and Convention Center that Wednesday but the Louisiana's Department of Homeland Security did not want to “create a magnet for more people to come to the Superdome or Convention Center.” And did not permit the distribution of the good.

A few truths, for those who have ears and eyes and care to know the truth:

1.) The hurricane that hit New Orleans and Mississippi and Alabama was an astonishing tragedy. The suffering and loss of life and peace of mind of the residents of those areas is acutely horrifying.

2.) George Bush did not cause the hurricane. Hurricanes have been happening for eons. George Bush did not create them or unleash this one.

3.) George Bush did not make this one worse than others. There have been far worse hurricanes than this before George Bush was born.

4.) There is no overwhelming evidence that global warming exists as a man-made phenomenon. There is no clear-cut evidence that global warming even exists. There is no clear evidence that if it does exist it makes hurricanes more powerful or makes them aim at cities with large numbers of poor people. If global warming is a real phenomenon, which it may well be, it started long before George Bush was inaugurated, and would not have been affected at all by the Kyoto treaty, considering that Kyoto does not cover the world's worst polluters -- China, India, and Brazil. In a word, George Bush had zero to do with causing this hurricane. To speculate otherwise is belief in sorcery.

6.) George Bush had nothing to do with the hurricane contingency plans for New Orleans. Those are drawn up by New Orleans and Louisiana. In any event, the plans were perfectly good: mandatory evacuation. It is in no way at all George Bush's fault that about 20 percent of New Orleans neglected to follow the plan. It is not his fault that many persons in New Orleans were too confused to realize how dangerous the hurricane would be. They were certainly warned. It's not George Bush's fault that there were sick people and old people and people without cars in New Orleans. His job description does not include making sure every adult in America has a car, is in good health, has good sense, and is mobile.

7.) George Bush did not cause gangsters to shoot at rescue helicopters taking people from rooftops, did not make gang bangers rape young girls in the Superdome, did not make looters steal hundreds of weapons, in short make New Orleans into a living hell.

8.) George Bush is the least racist President in mind and soul there has ever been and this is shown in his appointments over and over. To say otherwise is scandalously untrue.

9.) George Bush is rushing every bit of help he can to New Orleans and Mississippi and Alabama as soon as he can. He is not a magician. It takes time to organize huge convoys of food and now they are starting to arrive. That they get in at all considering the lawlessness of the city is a miracle of bravery and organization.

10.) There is not the slightest evidence at all that the war in Iraq has diminished the response of the government to the emergency. To say otherwise is pure slander.

11.) If the energy the news media puts into blaming Bush for an Act of God worsened by stupendous incompetence by the New Orleans city authorities and the malevolence of the criminals of the city were directed to helping the morale of the nation, we would all be a lot better off.

12.) New Orleans is a great city with many great people. It will recover and be greater than ever. Sticking pins into an effigy of George Bush that does not resemble him in the slightest will not speed the process by one day.

13.) The entire episode is a dramatic lesson in the breathtaking callousness of government officials at the ground level. Imagine if Hillary Clinton had gotten her way and they were in charge of your health care.

God bless all of those dear people who are suffering so much, and God bless those helping them, starting with George Bush.

The following is a post from a person in a forum that I belong to. I did not write this nor do I know who did. I have no way of verifying the authenticity of this but I want to post it anyways. It was posted on the forum on September 1st but I do not know if it was up to date at the time of the original posting. I am just sharing with you what is or now has happened in New Orleans.

This just in from a fellow SCOF from another forum... No wonder they closed the town down... NOT because of the water!

Well last night I was watching the 6pm news when they announced the 17th street canal pumps failed as well as another break in the levee. My house is right off St. Charles Ave. and up to 6pm yesterday is was the only part of the city that was dry. Since the pumps failed and the new break St. Charles Ave. would be under 9ft of water in the next 12-15hrs. My brother and I felt if we wanted to save anything we had to leave NOW. We loaded up flashlights, rope, our medical ID's, both our .45 Glocks, 2 shotguns and rode out. En-route we listened to the radio which broad casted all the news about the looters and what not, in hindsight it was a mistake. My mother didn't want us to go but dad, who is a Vietnam vet, told us to be safe and "shoot to kill" if it ever comes to that.

One the way we had to pass 5-6 checkpoints to allow entry into the city. We stated we were medical personnel who were activated, showed our ID and off we went. On the radio reports were coming in about the officer who was shot in the head, the 2 gunman who opened fired on the NOPD station, and how looters were carjacking cars to get out of the city. This started making my brother nervous and giving seconds thoughts.

Anyway we get to the city and it looks like a freaking war zone. The best visual I can give is the movie "Blackhawk Down" when all the Somalians are rushing the city. They are people EVERYWHERE, they are p***ed off, and all have weapons, 2X4's, Axes, and guns. If this wasn't bad enough we are 2 white boys in a truck in a sea several hundred armed p***ed off blacks. There wasn't a white person to be found. I couldn't get over the little 8-10yr old kids with weapons, I ever saw one carry a claw hammer!

These people were absolutely nuts rammed trucks(stolen I'm sure) in to jewelry stores stealing items, they were tearing apart Wal-Mart carrying out TV's, Playstations, DVD players, etc. One lady was wheeling out an entire rack of merchandise, not sure what it was but sure wasn't clothes for food. They were all laughing and carrying on like it's freaking Christmas.

We got stuck in traffic when we see the group of guys walking down the street w/ AK-47's, at that point the "pucker factor" kicked in, a couple Glocks and shotguns were no match for that. We haul azz trying to get to Uptown when we see these people chopping down the front door w/ an axe of this $4-5 million dollar mansion on ST. Charles Ave. I was just in total awe because it was so surreal. Making matters worse it's 11pm at night there is no electricity and you really can see anything or anyone until they are right up on you.

Our plan was to be in and out in 30min, this included putting his Harley on the trailer. It would have taken me 5-10min tops to get my stuff, all I wanted was my pictures from college, my clothes/shoes, and my computer tower. Well he got scared saying we are going to get jumped while putting the bike on the trailer. Keep in mind this is the only area in the city that is dry. So just like rats who move to higher ground these people were doing the same. Word must have gotten out that Uptown was dry so there started to be a large influx of people.

Needless to say he wanted to go home rather than take our chances. While it was the smart thing to do I was beyond infuriated w/ him because we made it this far. He just kept saying our lives aren't worth it. So we turned around, our next challenge was getting out of the city while not getting jacked. Reports came out that people were jumping in the back of truck holding the drivers at gunpoint. Traffic started to slow so I just nailed it got out as fast as I could.

Even though he was the voice of reason I'm still p***ed. All I have is my life and the clothes on my back. I lost my house(which is now 9ft underwater) ALL my clothes, TV, computer, furniture, and photo albums and videos from childhood and
college. What makes this worse is my brother owned the house and I was a tenant
and I didn't have renters insurance, hindsight is 20/20.

I also hope everyone of the ****ing looters get Tetanus, E-Coli and F*(KING drown. I'm serious I really hope the all die for what they were doing to the city, killing people, and destroying homes. Never in my life have I ever seen people act like savages, it was truly sicking."

In light of recent events I would like to take time to ask you all to stop what you are doing and say a prayer to our Lord Jesus Christ for the victims of Hurricane Katrina that he will bless those who are suffering right now. This is a terrible time with no hope in sight other than the GRACE of GOD! I know some may say, “Why Lord, how could you do this or allow this to happen?!” God allows these things to happen for reasons we cannot understand. But I PROMISE you all that by our faith in Him he will bless all those hurt and His glorious plan will be shown. It’s very hard right now; for the people in the hurricanes destruction and those watching it on TV, but I tell you all not to lose faith, our prayers will be answered in a way we could never imagine. God WILL BLESS AMERICA!

READ ME!

I have lived in California my entire life, and there are some good things about it, but when they continue to make it harder and harder for me to exercise my Constitutional right to protect myself then that's it! Time to take action! I am so tired of the restrictions, bans, and stupid laws that make it harder to protect my family and myself while the criminals still have the guns. When is our government going to listen to the PEOPLE!! Are we not a Republic of the people, by the people, for the people? Since when did the people consist of the minority of liberal gun-hating pussies? I never voted for the gun control laws? I know no one who has. In fact I don't think we've even had the choice to vote on it. They just told us what the law are and make us obey. When is the government going to start listening to the people? Don't get me wrong, I LOVE AMERICA! I would die so that it can thrive and be free, but I get hurt knowing that there are thousands of souls who died on the battlefield while our rights are being shrunken into nothing. If I am just rambling then go ahead and tell me to shut up; but if you agree with me we gotta do something more than sit and watch ourselves being taken over by liberal commies! I know most of you all ARE doing something, and that's AWESOME! But we all have to pitch in. We gotta take back our states, and then our country. Contact your legislators, your congressmen, senators, whoever will listen and has the power to make changes. Otherwise we WILL wake up one day and the police will be at your door asking for your gun. That's right folks, I am back. I apologise for my long absence but I had to gather myself and my thoughts in a presentable form. My job took time away from my normal writing time but now I can devote what is needed to get this blog done. Now I don't have a real post for you at the moment but will be working on some tonight and the next few days so you can look forward to that. I just wanted to inform you that I am not lost forever.

As a side note I would like to extend a deep thanks to all the nice comments that I have received as of lately. It feels good knowing that not only are people reading this blog but enjoy it. You all are what makes it worth while. Thanks again and stay tuned.

The American Civil Liberties Union of New Mexico suspended its Las Cruces chapter Monday after learning that a member of the group's board was heading the formation of a Minuteman-style organization in New Mexico.
Gary Mitchell, a Ruidoso attorney and president of the ACLU board of directors, said the suspension of the southern chapter was a technical move to make sure the leader of the New Mexico Minutemen — a spinoff of the controversial civilian border patrol group the Minuteman Project — no longer had authority to act or speak on behalf of the ACLU.
"We will not tolerate racism and vigilantism in the leadership structure of our organization,'' Mitchell said. "They are repugnant to the principles of civil liberties and the mission of the ACLU.''
Clifford Alford is the leader of the New Mexico Minutemen. The phone went unanswered Monday evening at his home in Organ.
Alford has said he's not a hateful vigilante and that he would like to see immigration policy reformed. He has said that if the federal government allowed more immigrant workers to enter the country legally, many problems on the border would be solved.
Alford scouted the New Mexico-Mexico border two weeks ago, looking for sites to station his 42 volunteers to detect illegal immigrants sneaking into the country. His group plans to offer food, water and medical aid but still report the illegal immigrants to the U.S. Border Patrol.
ACLU officials have said they will work to stop Alford's group and the Minuteman Project in New Mexico from taking the law into their own hands.
The southern ACLU chapter has agreed to comply with bylaws, policies and rules of the national ACLU and the New Mexico affiliate, and Mitchell said it's likely the group will be up and running again in a short time.
"Las Cruces has a large number of passionate, committed civil libertarians,'' he said. "The ACLU intends to work with them to protect all people's civil liberties, regardless of their race, national origin or immigration status."

Ok, can someone please tell me how watching our border for ILLEGAL's constitutes these people as racist vigilantes? I don't see what's wrong with U.S Citizens standing guard of their country. I have not heard of one event of someone hurting anyone coming across. In fact Mr. Alford plans to offer those people coming across food and water. The ACLU just doesn't get it, this is why I say we live in a 'FLAWED SOCIETY'.

A Letter

I received a respectful letter this week from a reader explaining his views on the content of my site. But, as a polite man I felt obligated to respond back to him; so here is the letter that I sent to Mr. Rodrigo:

Thank you for sharing this with me, Rodrigo; I get a lot of letters and Comments about my views but most aren't as kind as yours, so I commend you for your clemency.

Now I would like to clarify a few things with you if you don't mind.

The explanation for my distain of Michael Moore is he doesn't report the truth, he manufactures it. It has been proven that his film "Fahrenheit 9/11" contained 59 lies that are cannot be dismissed. Here is a website to reference it:

I don't think that any man is a good man who deceives the public like that. And, I did see "Bowling for Columbine" and I didn't like it because some presented material was false and his way of presenting his findings were irresponsible. I made that poster after I saw "Fahrenheit" out of my anger for him. In America, we have freedom of speech and I was exercising my right to that freedom, fought fiercely for by my forefathers.

As for the U.S. killing others just because they think differently, I would like for you to cite me a single example of that. I do not know what you are referring to. What do you mean, "…like countries in Latin America…"? I don't understand the accusation. As long as people are not practicing anything immoral, then it should be ok to be different and think differently from one another. Would you not agree?

Also, one thing that you should know, is that right now the U.S. is divided between left and right, and that might just be our downfall. Ipray that this is not so but, unfortunately, it's possible. But to say the U.S. Government is evil is just wrong. I know we're not perfect and we make mistakes, but they're not intentional, and compared to other countries, we are angels.

My views on homosexuality (gay) is that the practiced acts of it is a sin and should not be permitted by any society. I have relatives and close friends who are homosexuals, and I don't hate them, nor do I disown them. I embrace their love and friendship but also acknowledge that God condemns the sinful act of homosexuality and I have let that truth be known. All of us are sinners; we are commanded to "hate sin but love and pray for the sinner." I hope you don't think that I think we should kill gay people because that's far
from the truth. I hate the act, but I firmly believe that love should be displayed towards the individual. It’s my heartfelt desire that people who recognize my weaknesses will be as charitable. They won’t endorse everything I think, say or do, but they’ll still accept that I’m a person with a soul that Jesus died on the cross to save.

Now, as for us all being the same, I would have to agree- to a point. I would say that we are all the same in the sense that we are all sinners. But what we do during our life changes our equality. We should treat each other with the same respect and love; but if you murder, then you are not showing either and thus you are not equal to me. I too believe that there is a God, and that this God is manifested in the triune godhead: God is Jesus, Father and Holy Ghost. There are references going all the way back to the Old Testament that supports this. If you disagree, that's ok, but I refuse to be "politically correct" with my faith under the name of "tolerance". I can be tolerant without endorsing beliefs that conflict with mine and that’s an important distinction. I respect others’ rights to their own beliefs and will show respect to that right, but I won't believe what they do and I don't think there is anything wrong with that. My reason for believing in Jesus Christ as the Messiah is because I have both seen Him work in my life and that of others; I have been blessed by Him, and because there is more evidence supporting Him as being God than any other believed deity. In the Old Testament there were 306 prophecies that He fulfilled about 1000 years after they were written. His death by crucifixion was prophesized 800 years before that was even used as a means of execution! I find it hard to believe that prophecies written 1000 years before the event by that came to be can be discounted. I'm not making anyone believe like me, nor would I kill for them to. I
just believe what I do and am willing to die for it.

And finally why I think we live in a "flawed society" is just due to the immorality and stupidity of many in my country. I don't like a lot of my political leaders, and a lot less some of the people here. I don't hate them, nor do I not love them. Jesus said to love your enemy, but that doesn't mean I can't complain about them or expose their mistakes.

Again, I would like to thank you for your opinion and I hope my letter will better explain my position. If you want to discuss further any matters with me, I welcome it. Yours was a well-written and articulate letter. Thanks for taking the time to respond.

Homosexuality- Homosexuality is an abomination upon the Lord God. He hates the act, but not the person. Though the person partaking in it is a sinner. Now don't think that I am a homophobe, or that I hate homosexuals, I'm not and I don't. To me homosexuality is an act; it is the willful act(s) of sexual and lustful gratification with someone of the same sex. We all have sexual feelings, that is so we procreate and continue our existence, but it is meant to be between a married Man and Woman. Now if you don't find someone of the opposite sex that is ok. We all have to have companionship with a close person, but if that person is someone of the same gender then that is all right, you are just friends.. But when you turn that innocent companionship into acts of homosexuality then you are in the wrong and have tainted that friendship. I am a male, and I have many male friends that I am close too, but I don't have the feelings that I do towards a woman with them because one, I am not programmed that way, and two I know it's a sin. The same goes for heterosexual (straight) people; it is a sin for man and woman to have sex out of wedlock. Those two are acting on their sexual and lustful needs, but are sinning because God has commanded us to wait until holy matrimony. With this said, it brings me to my second point: condemning homosexuality is not a hate crime, it can't be. I know a few people who are very close to me and I love that are homosexuals; I don't hate them. I hate the acts they do, not them themselves. I don't care if you are born a homosexual or heterosexual, when you act in a sinful manner you are sinning. I don't know how else to say it. But don't say that I hate you, I don't.

Anno Domini- As of recently the time stamp to signify the era in which a year took place (B.C., A.D.) is in the process of being converted to C.E. and B.C.E. Why? Because our liberal system is afraid to offend those of non-Christian beliefs or anyone that doesn't like things to stay the way they have been for 2000 years. A.D. stands for "Anno Domini", "the year of the Lord." And B.C. is "Before Christ". But now it is slowly changing to C.E.-Common Era (a.k.a. A.D.) and B.C.E.-Before Common Era (a.k.a B.C.). This is stupid, every documentation of every event in history before our Lord's birth was recorded in A.D. or B.C. And now, 2000 years later, afraid of offending a few people they want to go and change the system. Does this mean that we now should go and erase the A.D. in the Constitution and every legal document henceforth; wouldn't that be more P.C? This is ridiculous, come on people; grow some common sense, please!

Tax Paid Circus Show

Is it just me, or has our judicial system become a circus show? Between Wacko Jacko's 2004-2005 World Court Tour to the Supreme court filibuster in the Senate, how is justice ever to be served? No wonder France laughs at us. We have Judges in Florida putting to death an innocent woman while another judge in Colorado over turns a death sentence of a murderer because the jurors referred to the Holy Bible in deliberations. I am really ashamed of this perverse interpretation of this once considered sacred document called the Constitution. It's ok to murder someone as long as the voices in your head told you to but if you say a prayer at a high school football game they want you locked up. Has our country gone MAD!? And let me just say that the 9th Circuit court of appeals is filled with Red Diaper Doper Babies from the motherland. (If anyone understood any part of that last sentence then they win my complete and utter respect and adoration.)

Accusations Of Apprehensions

U.S. Border Patrol agents have been ordered not to arrest illegal aliens along the section of the Arizona border where protesters patrolled last month because an increase in apprehensions there would prove the effectiveness of Minuteman volunteers, The Washington Times has learned. – Jerry Seper, The Washington Times 5/13/05

I don't want to come to any definite conclusion yet; reporters are known to get things wrong from time to time, but should the above be proven true then we have a serious threat to national security on our hands. I would like to think that this is just the culmination of a disgruntled employee, but really I wouldn't be surprised if this higher offical did in fact give this order. As of yet I have taken no stance regarding the validity of these accusations since I have no way of verifly the source. However, as more information is revealed it is my hope that an investigation will ensue and prompt action will be taken to eliminate this threat. Maybe with the help of the blogger community the truth will surface. Until then we can only hold our breaths and pray this isn't true.

Pablo Paredes

If you're not familiar with whom Pablo Paredes here is a short run down.

On December 6, 2004 Pablo Paredes, a Navy sailor (PO3) stood outside his ship, the USS Bonhomme Richard refusing to board as it deployed to the Persian Gulf. Why? Because Pablo felt it wrong to help transport Marines to fight an unjust and illegal war. The military thought differently and four months later on May 11, 2005 found him guilty of missing his ship for deployment, punishable by up to one year in prison.

I think that really Pablo just didn't want to be in the Navy anymore and wanted an easy way out, one that looked glorious. What's funny is the night before his trial there was a rally in support for Pablo held by many different antiwar groups around San Diego. This was not surprising since the antiwar movement in San Diego is using Pablo like a bus stop bathroom to further their futile movement. There they had speakers who were deserters themselves talking in support for Pablo and denouncing Bush and this war. What I found humorous was that I had attended this spectacle with CITIZEN SMASH, (who gives a more detailed account) as back up so that he could ask Pablo a few questions. One of which was "Is there such a thing as a just war? and should the U.S. military be disbanded? Pablo's response was: There is no such thing as ‘just war.' All militaries should be disbanded, and we should start with the world's largest (meaning us). Now, I know I have covered a ‘Just War' here on my blog, and my conclusion is that I too hate war but it's a part of us, it always has been since our beginning and it will till our end. But Pablo's answer I had to laugh at since if we did what he suggests every country that holds a grudge would annihilate us. But then again, I have to realize that this is coming from a coward, a person who never learned the meaning of commitment and honor. The speakers kept praising Pablo and the crowd kept clapping for him. It was really hard for me to not stand up and denounce this act of treason. But I kept my cool and respected them since I came into their place of worship. But I was consoled on my way home with the knowledge that deep down these people, no matter how hard they try will never win. They will be doing this for every war that the U.S. will ever enter but will never win because defending freedom and democracy here and around the world will always come out victorious. I really wish I could have asked them how they think we should have handled Hitler back in the day, but I think I know their answer… No War!

Last month I posted a blog about a student at McKay High School in Oregon who wasn’t allowed to post on the buliten board a photo of her brother serving in Iraq because he was holding his firearm out of uniform. I wrote the school board to be a responsible journalist and this was their answer:

Mr. Martinez,

Thank you for inquiring instead of accepting the reporting of the media
at large.

Prior to this story getting media attention, the district was already working cooperatively with the family to provide a picture that both parties felt would appropriately represent the job that our military is doing in Iraq. The picture that has been posted in the school is attached.

I have shared this information with all who have inquired. The following is an excerpt from an email sent by a father who has a son serving in Iraq.

"In reviewing the picture that you attached, I would agree that's it's infinitely better than the one that gathered all the initial attention and truly show's the positive intentions of our mission in Iraq. "Hats off" to you and the staff for working it out."

Here in California I keep seeing these commercials bashing our "terminator" governor for taking money away from education and other things. Did people think that when he got into office he would magically make our debt disappear? Why are people surprised to find that their school is laying off teachers left and right and putting kids into classes that they shouldn’t be in. Arnold is doing his job, finding which under funded programs can be eliminated or cut even more in a futile attempt to save 'Kalifonya'. That’s bureaucracy at work.

Story

Last month in Salem, Oregon, a student at McKay High School brought a photo to post on the bulletin board for an assignment. The assignment was to show McKay graduates at work and what they do. However, the principal of the school, Cynthia Richardson, would not allow the picture. Why? Because the photo was of a U.S. Marine holding his rifles. But the rifle in the photo violated the school's zero tolerance policy on weapons, even though the school's mascot carries a sword. When this was brought to the attention of the principal, she said, "We might have to revisit that." Now the school is offering to post the photo with the rifle digitally removed, but the family says that's not enough. "It's not just a picture in dress blues. It is a picture of real life and there are guns. And he just wants everyone to know that the war is still going on and it's real life," the sister said in response.

Guns are what won us our freedom, but what I don't get is that now they are being taught as something evil and violent. I was in NJROTC in high school, and we carried non-operational rifles. And after I left they started an air rifle team; weapons were taught in our curriculum. I don't think us marching around with rifles suggested to anyone to go postal. So I don't think few Marines showing the tools of the trade are any worse than cadets marching with rifles and swords. I do understand that the youth of today are much more unstable than before, that's why I call it a flawed society, but the answer to it all isn't going PC, we have to help these kids, not just remove what we think might remotely be an issue. My high school mascot was the Patriot, and the year after I graduated the school officially removed the musket from his hands in the image, that made me so mad!!! With out the musket the colonists were subjects. They are ‘wussifing' our youth by changing our history and brainwashing; it's very disturbing. Gun's used to be taught by the father to his son's (and daughters) from a young age. And from there if they were fortunate enough to go to a good school they could continue this American tradition of this fine sport. It wasn't until recently that guns have become an issue. Why? I honestly believe that there are those who want for the U.S. to fall and the only way to do so is to remove our way of defense. It won't happen in my generation, but possibly my children's time, they will be brainwashed into thinking that guns are so bad to the point that they will give them up; thus allowing for them to be taken over. This is sad, this country is so messed up that something which is a part of our history is now not allowed in our schools. If they are going this far then shouldn't they remove all the pictures and references to weapons in the history books? "WWII was won with, um…love?"

Liberal biasness in school; I remember this even in high school. I was look down upon in a certain class by my fellow students because I didn't conform to the 'cool' teacher's view as they had. I didn't know much about politics then, but I did know right from wrong. And not to say that they were all wrong, but when my third period teacher started reading every Friday, Michael Moore's book: "Stupid White Men" I knew there as something wrong. Luckily now I can smell a liberal a mile away and stop them in their track. But for an impressionable 17 year old, it's easy to just go with what your teachers says, especially when he is the most popular teacher on campus. Sometimes you have to go against the teacher.

I am not sad for this, cause if his heart was for Christ, as I believe it was, then he is glorified right now by being in presence of our Lord. Modern Day Minutemen

This Friday more than 1,000 men and women calling themselves the 'minutemen' will be stationed along the 23 miles of U.S. border near the Tucson Sector in an attempt to discourage crossers and would-be terrorists from entering the United States. These volunteers will be armed with radios to contact Border Patrol agents when migrants are spotted. But a leader of the violent, terror-connected Latin American gang Mara Salvatruchas, Ebner Anivel Rivera-Paz, has reportedly issued orders from federal prison to members of his international criminal organization to teach a lesson to the group of Americans taking border control into their own hands. Looks like there is going to be a second "showdown at the OK Corral".

My take on this, as long as the volunteers aren't looking for a fight, go for it. It's our country, you have a right to be here too as long as your legal! And if they have to arm themselves from these gangs, so be it.

World War 3

Ladies and Gentlemen: I am proclaiming, as conditions sit today we are headed towards World War 3! We are gaining more enemies than allies. On the roster right now, our enemies include North Korea, Iran, China, and soon to be Venezuela and Russia. All of which could kick our butt if they joined against us. That is why we need to strengthen our allies and if that means stirring up things in the U.N. then so be it! My fear is that we wont have enough volunteers in our military to counter these threats when it comes. And especially not enough money to support any campaigns other than what we're already in.

China just passed a law to allow military attacks on Taiwan if they try to separate themselves and declare independence from the communistic country. From last I heard we supported Taiwan due to free trade and the fact that they're not China.

North Korea is a great threat because they are trying to create nuclear weapons. Hmm, I wonder whom they would use them on?

Russia we cannot trust. Their leader Putin is trying to turn it into the old motherland of the Soviet Union; and he supports Iran.

Iran is trying also to make nuclear weapons under the disguised as nuclear power. Their reason, I think its to attack Israel, which if they do we MUST go to defend Israel.

As for Venezuela, their "leader" Hugo Chavez is a Fidel Castro wannabe, who thinks himself a revolutionary like the communist "Che" Guevara. The bad thing is that he has begun to buy arms from Russia. Riffles, helicopters, jets! And how it directly affects us is that he is a major oil supplier to us. Gee, I wonder what he's going to do with all those extra arms, free Iraq?

This is just a very small count of what we're up against, but we have to take the potential threat they present seriously! There are many my age that are angry and afraid that we might have another draft. They think Bush is planning to have one, even though it was the Democrats who brought it up and wanted to activate the selective service lottery again. Currently Bush has declared that there will not be any draft, but the grim reality is that for this nation to survive, we are going to need a strong, powerful military. And sadly to defend off these threats we will need more power in the form of soldiers. But the distressing reality is that there aren't enough brave, courageous, young Americans who would fight for their right to be free. "Its on the other side of the world, why should I care?" When our enemies detonate a nuke in your backyard you might start caring then! All I'm saying is that we must prepare for the next World War 3, which could be 20 years away, or possibly even 3. If you are under 40, get in shape and prepare for the draft; men and women. If you want peace, then prepare for war. You don't have to belief me, but don't be surprised then when tanks roll up your street that have the New World symbol on them.

The Philosophy Of Death: Part 1

Today I’m going to talk about my philosophy, my philosophy on death and killing. The truth about death is that we all are on the list; we all are going die someday. But the manner of our death is what we wish we could control. Personally, I believe that killing is all right. No, I am not buying into the philosophy of Peter Singer, but I believe that there are three justifications for killing, and anything other than that is murder. But let me state that I strongly believe that murder is in fact, wrong!

The first justification for killing is if you are defending a life that is being threatened by another, example, cops. Police do it everyday, they take the life of a criminal who tries to kill them or someone else. This is more than reasonable; it is necessary for the safety and survival of a society.

Second, it is justified to take life as punishment for the taking of another life; the death penalty. If you are convicted of murder by a court, then I feel it is the society’s obligation to end your life to maintain law and order. Now we cannot misinterpret murder for accidental manslaughter. People have killed others by accident because that is reality, accidents happened. It’s sad but different than premeditated murder. Murder is methodical and intended to take innocent life. I still think that punishment should be enforced, but not to the same extent as if it were murder. Scott Peterson was convicted recently for murdering his wife and unborn son. He is now on death row waiting to appeal the courts decision. He was convicted by a jury of his peers to be put to death; he is having to face the consequences of his actions. Sadly though due to our failed judicial system he will probably live a long life in his cell and never see execution day, but at least he is being punished for his crimes. He murdered, and now he must be put to death, period.

But with that you have to ask hypothetically, what about a mobster who shoots another mobster? He probably was not taking innocent life since both were in the crime business? Then is that murder since innocent life wasn’t taken? My answer, yes! It was premeditated, and to maintain law and order, we use a judicial system to decide who is innocent or guilty. If we didn’t anyone could go and kill and murder whomever they like. Under current laws you are innocent until proven guilty. Do I agree with this? It doesn’t matter, I am not writing to change the laws, I am just writing explaining and justify my beliefs in conjunction with the laws. Then, what is innocent life? Under Christian beliefs we are all guilty of sin. I belief that innocent life on Earth is defined as one that is not guilty of premeditated murder, or atrocities to mankind. Yes, we are all guilty of sin, but Jesus Christ is what has set us free of that sin. So, for as long as we are on this Earth, to maintain the safety of our society murder is the only crime that is punishable by death.

The third justification for killing is in wartime. Sadly, war is a part of human nature; it is unavoidable. There will always be someone in this world until its end that is bad and wants to murder and destroy innocent life. That person will find others to follow and he will build armies, and then will execute his wishes to murder through those armies. That is why it is a society’s obligation to protect their prosperity and civilian lives through war if needed. Now there are still rules of engagement that the innocent nation must follow to remain innocent, but the cry that all war is murder is wrong. The United States went to war with Iraq to stop Saddam’s tyranny and find his weapons of mass destruction. Though we have not found the WMD’s yet, we have stopped his rape rooms, torture camps, and have found mass graves of innocent lives that he has executed for unjust reasons. Those were more than justified reasons to go to war and kill members of his army.

In conclusion I’m going to have to assume that some might misinterpret my statements as being malice and psychopathic, but really it all has to do with wording and interpretation of our laws and language. Killing in the most part is the taking of a guilty life, while murder is the taking of innocent life. One is justified, and the other is punishable by death.

Anti-War Sentiment Targets Recruiting Center

I just heard about this from Citizen Smash. A Recruiting Center in National City (in San Diego) was defaced on March 19th with anti-war graffiti and posters. The photos were posted on the Democratic Underground forum. On this forum some express their disagrement with this but most are for this vile act of defacing government property. I haven’t heard much about this in the mainstream media, but when I do I’ll report it. Personally, I can't begin to express how disgusted I am. I doubt they will find these punks, but if they do I hope they prosecute to fullest extent of the law.

Fight For Terri's Life

As of now most everyone has heard something about Terri Schiavo and have formed an opinion about her case. Congress and even the President have gotten involve making people to think that it's becoming more a political stand with them than about constitutional rights. But I think that this has less to do with the constitution and more with ethical reasoning.

As far as I know this is how the story goes: Due to an alleged eating disorder Terri Schiavo collapse from heart failure 15 years ago causing severe brain damage; this has left her in a controversial state of vegetation. Now her husband wants to remove the feeding tubes that are keeping her alive because he says that's what Terri would want, but her parents want her to stay alive. This could all be solved with a will but Terri didn't have one made when she was conscience so the question to keep her alive or not has been taken to the courts. And the decision was to remove her life support. Her parents have appealed the courts decision but they fear that their daughter might die before the courts decide anything. And now this case if you can call it that has even gotten congress' attention and our president. But some fear that it is just a chance to push the right-wing pro-life agenda.

After all this what do you do? Personally I think that we should let Terri live. There are signs that she is alive and responsive, and I think that's a reason to keep her alive. I don't know if her husband has an alternative motive for wanting to fight this, but I don't think that she would not want to die if she shows signs of life. The fact that she feels pain, and I think she does should be enough to say, "This is wrong, letting her die in painful way like this!" But for some reason this has become once again a fight between the left and right. My prayer is that the courts will get their act together in time to have the tubes reinstated. Since Terri didn't have a will written expressing whether or not to live or die in these kinds of circumstances should say that she would like to have lived. That's my opinion.

Hey-Hey, Ho-Ho, You Hippies Have To Go!

Saturday March 19th the San Diego chapter of Protest Warrior was out at Balboa Park to counter an anti-war rally and march planned for the 'international day of protest'. We came out with sign of support for our troops, democracy, and freedom. We were even joined by other groups and passers Byers in support. Around 2pm we lined up on 6th Ave. to get ready for the anti-war marchers coming up the street, and as we were waiting for them we heard honks and yells for what we were doing. In fact a Marine came up to one of us to thank us for what we were doing. He was walking his dog and passed by the anti-war people and tried to tell them about his time in Iraq. He told them about all the good we are doing over there, and even mention Saddam's mass graves that he witnessed. But they didn't even care; they didn't want to hear the truth. As the marchers came up we started chanting USA, USA, USA! It was a great moment; we showed the hippies that they are not the voice of America or the world.

The whole time I was thinking, how can you live in a country where you oppose the thing that gave birth to its existence? This nation was won with war, it was defended with war; and if you are morally against all wars, then how can you morally stay in this country. I don't like war, I don't want it, but sometimes war is necessary. War was necessary to win our independence, war was necessary to stop slavery, war was necessary to defeat Hitler, war was necessary to defeat Imperial Japan, war was necessary to stop Fascism, and war was necessary to stop Saddam and his evil doings. War is ugly and sad, but it's unavoidable. If we took the path as anti-war people, say no to all war, we would be dead! I am not a war-junkie, its not that I think war is cool, but I think that it's a necessity to survival and you have to support that survival and those doing it. Our nation knew that Saddam was a threat to his neighbors and us so we gave him ten years to comply with U.N. sanctions. He didn't so we had to go to war to stop him. It is appalling to see these people protesting the Iraqi people's freedom, don't they understand?

Anyways it was a lot of fun; some guys on our side event went over there to stir thing up. One guy dressed up in a prison uniform and had a Saddam mask on which was funny. Thanks to all that came to support, there were many new faces that I would like to welcome. All in all it was a success, we got our message out, showed what true patriotism looks like, and had fun while doing it. Maybe next year we can have more people on our side and less on theirs.

Terrorism Threat Level: Pink

If you were in Oceanside, CA Thursday morning and were near the pier you would have seen a sight of pink! That's right, pink; the good old ladies (and men) of Code Pink were out there to kick off their three day, 40-mile walk for ‘peace'. They planned to start walking Thursday from the Oceanside Pier, and end Saturday at the anti-war protest in Balboa Park, San Diego. For this event they brought hundreds of pink crosses and staked them into the sand on shore as a memorial for all those servicemen and women who have died in Iraq, even though I don't think they will ever really recognize their sacrifices. "Bring The Troops Home Now" was their message, and it was draped on a banner down the side of the pier. I doubt though that this event is truly for the troops, it has to be all self-serving. This mass mobilization of about 20-25 people was just another opportunity to bash Bush.

That is why San Diego Protest Warriors showed up, we didn't want their message to be heard without a rebuttal. As the marchers left for their 40-mile trip they were greeted with the few, but cheery people of Protest Warrior. What did they see? They saw the American flag being held next to two signs with the message of: Who's Side Are You On? And the other "We Support President Bush And The Troops". They didn't like this! When they all got to the top of the stairs that lead to the street I could see the lead lady's face going from a gleeful smile to a frown of disbelief that ‘they' are here. We stood tall and proud knowing that we are giving the true message that they don't like. That is why some started to head our way, they wanted to confront these fascist troublemakers. It's funny because a very old man walked up and shook my hand and then started to try and convert me to liberalism. He said in an old man's voice, "I am a veteran of world war two, and what this president is doing is wrong. He's doing what the terrorists want him to do." He then started dropping a few not nice words for my president, but I graciously returned the gesture (handshake), and smiled. At some point though I just couldn't take it anymore. "Sir, you have the right to your own opinion, but I don't appreciate you bashing my President like that," is what I told him. He continued saying his propaganda, but I kept insisting to him to stop saying these lies about my president. After a while he stopped, realizing that he wasn't going to brainwash this young man today. He walked off and I continued holding my sign high, waving to the Marines passing by. But the best part of this was when an older gentleman in his van driving by shouted out towards Scott's direction, "Why do you go you Iraq then!" I love it when they ask him that. "I already have been!" Scott yells back. The man didn't know what to say, but I could see him literally mumbling something under his breath as he drove off, that could not have been better scripted. Other drivers threw us a few bad words too, but it didn't get to us, they can call us whatever they want. Soon after that a reporter came up and interviewed Scott, and that pissed them off even more. We told her that we are here to show real support for the troops, and to express the counter message to that of down there. I was real glad that we were heard. It felt even better that as we were getting ready to leave a mother and her son came up to thank us. The reason, her son there was a Marine who just got back from Iraq. I was thinking how much that must have hurt for this young man to see this. You've just gotten home, and you want to go to the beach and there, this anti-war protest. I felt for the guy, he must have had to have lost some friends there, and these pink people are protesting what they died for. I thanked him for his service and the mother. I don't know what I would have done if I were in his shoes and saw that; I would have blown up! I just don't get it. They say they support the troops, but how is it support when you are protesting all that they are fighting and dying for? I have never seen or heard of a Marine who has said to them, "Thank you, please continue protesting so that I don't have to do my job." In fact, whenever there is a protest, and Protest Warrior is out there, we get cheers and thanks from the active duty servicemen and veterans. Some veterans don't like us, but I've never heard of any active duty Marine, Soldier, or Sailor denouncing what we are doing. So I just have to ask how are the ladies of Code Pink, and the people of the Coalition for Peace and Justice justifying their actions as supporting our troops? I am open to answers, I would like it if someone with one of these groups could please explain it to me, I would like to be enlightened. Oh wait, that's right, Pablo Padres, the deserter.

That was the big pre-anti-war protest counter protest for Protest Warrior in San Diego. Later on we met up with them again in Carlsbad, just so that they don't forget us, we changed signs but waved and said, "Welcome to Carlsbad." After that we went to Camp Pendleton for Operation Thank You, where we held signs of thanks and support for the Marines and their families entering. That was great but we didn't get the same reactions as we did in Mira Mar, luckily we will be back at Mira Mar next week.

This day was good; we had fun and showed the loony leftists that they wont protest without the counter message presented by us. Mt. Soledad

Heard a lot about the Mt. Soledad controversy in San Diego lately? Here is the story.

The cross was constructed by the Mount Soledad Memorial Association and dedicated to military veterans in 1954. In 1991, the federal court ruled the presence of the cross on public property violated the California Constitution. To cure the violation, the City sold a portion of parkland surrounding the cross to the Association. The City Charter requires such a sale of parkland be authorized by a two-thirds vote of the electorate. The citizens of San Diego provided this authority in 1992 when 76% of the voters approved Proposition F, which authorized the City to sell a portion of Mount Soledad to maintain the historic war memorial.

The federal court subsequently found the sale of the property to the Association violated provisions of the California Constitution prohibiting government support of religion. The City then conducted a second sale of parkland around the cross, this time by a competitive bid process. The Association was the highest bidder, and, after taking possession of the property, built a memorial composed of granite plaques honoring veterans. In a recent decision, the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals ruled the conduct of the second sale to the Association violated the California Constitution. The decision also indicated the sale may be void and constitutional issues associated with the previous passage of Proposition F in 1992 may invalidate the proposition.

Last November's Proposition K was intended to fix the situation. However, arguably misleading ballot statements lead to voter confusion. Proposition K subsequently failed to muster the two-thirds majority and left the integrity of the memorial in jeopardy. On November 20, 2004, the US Congress adopted H.R. 4818 (P.L. 108-447) to which San Diego Congressmen Duncan Hunter and Randy 'Duke' Cunningham attached language, then signed into law by President Bush, authorizing the federal government to take over the control and protection of the entire war memorial in San Diego should the City donate the property to the Federal Government.Info

So in early 2005 the battle for Mt. Soledad is still not over. In March hundreds of people showed up to Golden Hall to express support for leaving the cross where it is. But even with seven hours of testimony, which was in a vast majority in support of the cross, the City Council voted 5-3 not to transfer to federal hands the memorial and thus not letting it remain. They are ignoring the will of the people to have the 43-foot cross be removed! That is why now a referendum is being accurately and concisely drawn up and approved by city hall. It will give the City Council an opportunity to save face and correct their mistake; City Council can review the referendum and actually change their vote if they believe that new pertinent information has been made available. It will require 30,000 VALID signatures, that's if the City Council refuses to fix their mistake. If not they will have forced it to the next step, an actual initiative. If this happens even more will be required of the memorial’s supporters.

The cross has been here for over 50 years; it's a landmark and a symbol of San Diego. Please don’t let a few malcontents over-rule the voice of the people!

Eyes Wide Open

Last Thursday March 10 The American Friends Service Committee (a Quaker association) sponsored the Eye's Wide Open tour in Escondido, CA. (It had been in downtown San Diego the day before.) It is an exhibit of combat boots and shoes to represent all the soldier and civilian lives lost in this war; there were 1512 army boots there that day. I think that it's a great and important thing to recognize the sacrifices of those who have fallen for their country, but not with the message that they had accompanying this memorial. If anyone has seen this display you'll notice it's almost like walking through a war cemetery, mother's crying, people giving respect to the fallen heroes, photos to remember the lost by. But sadly the mood changed when they started having the speakers come up.

There were a number of speakers, all saying on a certain level that they this war is wrong, immoral, and the troops are dieing for a bad cause. I totally disagree but it wasn't my place to say. But the one speaker that disturbed me, and I've talked about him many times before was Fernando Suarez. For a little background, Fernando's son, Jesus Suarez was a Marine who died in combat in Iraq on March 27, 2003; almost exactly two years ago. His son, though not a native wanted to fight for this nation and knew that Saddam was a threat, so he joined the Marines and went off to war. When he died Mr. Suarez was devastated and since he didn't agree with this war and President to begin with he has since made it his mission to be involved with most San Diego anti-war movements and to protest this war and administration. His slogan, "Bush Lied And My Son Died." I understand his grieving, but I don't think he's handling it fairly.

Thursday Mr. Suarez was the last one to speak, for dramatic reasons I bet.. When he went up he said, "Um, sorry but I'm going to speak Spanish today." Then I over heard on the crowd, "But this is America!" Implying that he should be speaking English. I don't know who that person was but I chuckled, not knowing if this person is for or against this event.

This is what Fernando said: (translated)
"1513 pairs of boots, boots stained with blood, blood that was unnecessary to spill. Shoes that represent more than a 100,000 civilian causalities in Iraq, their deaths was also unnecessary. Our nation does no longer need heroes. Our nation needs students, youth with their families, working for our country, not for destruction. I will hope that thousands of boots like the ones you see today return home, but with their owners inside of those boots. We do no longer need empty boots, we do not need more sick veterans, we do not need more homelessness, and more patients in mental hospitals. Today in Escondido, for me this is very, very special. This is the home of my child, where my son finished his high school years, where he met his wife, and were his son was born. And sadly my son leads these lines and lines of military boots. How many children like my grandson have lost a parent in this war? How many more orphan children will there be? How many Iraqi children have lost their families in this war? I want to ask you a question today, how many more orphan children do you need to see before we demand the end of this war and the return of the troops home? How much more blood should be spilled before we end this massacre in Iraq? I no longer want a memorials like this one, we do not need to buy more flowers for our dead children, we need books in schools, not arms in the streets. I want to ask you that we all unite now, in a minute of silence in honor of those hundreds and thousands of people who have lost their lives, that each one of us without regards to race or nationality, we say a prayer and pray for peace. [Moment of silence] God bless America, God bless American troops."

Fernando Suarez is wrong; blood spilt sadly was necessary. That's how we got Saddam, Uday and Qusay and stopped the evil dictatorship. Yes, I wish deeply that there were no civilians' lives lost and especially U.S. soldiers', but that's the cost of war, it is very high. One thing that I told a reporter there asking what I thought was, war is ugly, but it's a necessary evil in this world, always has, and always will be. I don't like war, no one does, but it happens, and we need people to fight and die for it. The United States did nothing wrong in going to Iraq; we had more than sufficient justification.

Jesus Suarez, (Fernando's son) saw the threat and answered the call; that is a HERO! Where does Fernando get off saying, "Our nation does no longer need heroes." That is wrong, if it weren't for the heroes like his son to fight, this nation would be under the control of extreme Muslims or worse, not even here. I do understand that Mr. Suarez is grieving, but he will always be grieving until he accepts that his son died for our freedom and especially the Iraqi freedom. I think it is wrong for a father to protest and denounce everything his son died for.

In response to this anti-war message hidden in a memorial I went with a flyer of my own. It read,

"As of March 9, 2005 the death toll of U.S. casualties in Iraq is 1,512. 1,512 men and women gave the ultimate sacrifice so that the Iraqi people can experience the same FREEDOM and DEMOCRACY that we enjoy." Then I stated 16 facts gotten off of the DOD website of all the good things happening right now in Iraq. I ended it with, "Do we pull out now and let their sacrifice be in vain, or finish the good work begun? Thank you to all who have fought for freedom and democracy around the world!"

I thought that was very powerful, and the best part is that it's non-offensive. The coordinators thought that Protest Warrior was going to be there to protest it, which we weren't, but my message was just as powerful as a protest. I passed out the flyer to give the untold story, the story that they don't want you to know, the story that justifies this war. I was expecting some negative feedback, but to my surprise no one commented on it, good or bad. My friend Pat helped me out whom I appreciate so much; we were able to pass out to most of the people.

I feel for those who have lost someone, but their sacrifice won't be forgotten, nor will it be for not. We have to remember, as humans, war is a part of us; it's in our nature. But it's when we repent our sins do we become civilized and peaceful. There are those who can't or wont do this, so we have to fight and even sometimes kill them. I think Plato said it best with: "Only the dead see the end of war." The war is not over, nor will it ever be, but when you fight for the right reasons as we have, your efforts will produce great rewards.

Hannity in San Diego

Thursday night I went with a very good friend to see Sean Hannity in San Diego on his Barnstorming Freak Show of Political Pornography tour. It was AWSOME! Sean is a great entertainer and a Great American! (Few will get that.) Anyways there’s too much to tell in this blog, Sean is a funny man and so are the people that help him. I do have to say that Sean promised to help San Diego more on his national broadcast; he's going to help keep the Soledad Cross where it is by taking it to the nation. That was music to my ears when I heard that, I stood up and clapped louder than I've ever clapped before. It was great.

As for a whimsical highlight of the evening, while we were waiting in line to enter the ballroom, some crazy liberals (two of them) pulled out signs to bash Sean and the Fox network. One sign said: Fox is dumbing America, and the other: Hannity = Hate Radio. Immediately the entire lobby started booing realizing that these two weren't there to enjoy Mr. Hannity. After about ten seconds of this crap a Man in front of me (keep in mind that this is all happening just a few feet from me) takes one of the guys signs and rips it up. I'm dashing for my camera at this point to get it on film but darn thing is so slow. The two get into an altercation and words fly about, I don’t remember what was said, but they were mad, I was just taking in the view of this spectacle. Finally security came right before punches could be thrown and escorts the two troublemakers away. What I was thinking was how rude they were to do that, (duh) but I mean you don't go to an event and protest it when all the people there paid for it. It would be different if it was in public, or free to all. You just don’t go into the lion's den and start trouble, that's stupid! But I didn't let that little incident ruin my evening; I put it out of mind so I could enjoy my favorite radio personality. I had a great time and if Sean ever comes back to San Diego I’ll be there to welcome him.

A Father Grieving

What happens when your own father undermines all that you've worked and died for to accomplish? What are your buddies to think when they hear that after you're dead your own father is belittling their efforts and sacrifices? That is where Marine Lance Cpl. Jesus Suarez Del Solar would be asking if he were with us today. Jesus Suarez died on March 27, 2003 in combat in Iraq.

His father, Fernando Suarez del Solar has done just that. Mr. Suarez is a major role in the anti-war community in San Diego; he speaks at all major peace events, and has even been to Iraq to report on all of the "wrong doings" of the US. But yet, I understand why he does this, though wrong.

Fernando is mourning the loss of his son and this is the only way he knows how too. He is mad that war took his son and needs someone to blame, and that someone is our President. Mr. Suarez, I give you my deepest condolences and sorrow for your lost, but I don't think you are being fair in how you are handling your grieving. Your son wanted to fight; fight for a country that he isn't even a citizen of. I think that is the noblest thing anyone can do. He saw the risk, here and abroad, and knew that he was going to war and that he may even die. Your son is a Hero, and I will never forget him and the many others who died for our freedoms. But you continue to protest what he was fighting for, don’t you see a little incongruence there Mr. Suarez? Saddam Hussein had and used WMD's in the past, on the Kurds. It is irrefutable that they exist, so that means that we were not wrong in going to Iraq to look for them. What, did they up and disappear, vanish? I doubt that. So we didn’t find them in Iraq yet, that doesn't meant they don’t exist, they are out there, someone has them. That scares me, a lot. Your son died so that our nation can look for those WMD's and make this world safer and a better place for the Iraqi people. I know what you reported when you went there, how they told you that they never asked to be liberated, but I feel that it is an obligation that America has to free the oppressed. It is in the Bible (Psalm 82:3-4), a book that our nation was founded on, it is what America is about, Freedom! The fact that Saddam has hid them where we can't find them means that we need to continue looking. But when you protest the efforts what good are you doing? You're not helping what your son died for, but just belittle it. But yet I understand so I give you pity. I truly am sorry for your lost, and the lost of all those who have had to burry a warrior. But please Mr. Suarez, rethink what you are doing; what would your son say today about your actions, would he approve of this? As a U.S. Marines I would have to say No!

Your son served this country, and I thank you, he will go down in history as a person who helped liberate Iraq. But Mr. Suarez, keep this in mind: the freedom you use to protest this war is the same freedom your son died for.

Dan’s Thought Of The Day

The United States landed a man on the Moon July 20, 1969. 1,600 years after the fall of the Roman Empire. This was a momentous point in human history and a pinnacle of space exploration. But think how long it has taken us, why didn’t any other society in the past achieve it? Why was it now, at this moment in time?

At the time of the Roman Empire's fall they were about as technologically advanced as we were when our nation began. They had sewage and water systems, a republic(though corrupted) form of government, and many other inventions to set them more advanced from others of their time. So with this, couldn't it be possible that if they were to have lasted possibly two hundred years longer, could they have set a man on the moon? Created the computer? Do heart transplants? Think about it, if they landed a man on the moon a thousand years earlier, where would we be today? That is some question!

So that begs to ask what lead to us to develop what we have; why were we so successful? Why us?! We went to the Moon because there was a space race against the USSR. But what developed the technology? I believe it was our free-enterprise system. Because of this free enterprise, we drive to develop bigger and better things. Better computers, better vehicles, better technology, all for the consumer, which means money. But due to the corruption of the Roman government and the exemption of free enterprise, they were stuck where they were, and eventually fell.

I have no point to this, I just thought how interesting it is to think where we could have been today if the Roman Empire was not so corrupted. Where will we be if our own corruption continues? This is something to think about.

Mr. Jones Goes To The Hospital

Mr. Jones, an elderly man got very sick one night and had to be rushed to the hospital. Once he got there they gave him a room immediately and summoned the Doctor. The Doctor analyzed Mr. Jones’s symptoms and ran some tests. He comes back and says, "Mr. Jones, you have the influenza, but the way your antibodies are fighting it you might be better in a few days, due to your age we want keep you here for a while to watch you and make sure it doesn’t get worse."

Mr. Jones replied, "Lord God, I ask for your healing touch, that you’ll cure me of this and make me better again! Give the doctors the knowledge and skills they need to do your will. Thank you and Praise you oh God, Jesus of Nazareth!"

The doctor gives him a weird look with his prayer thinking that it is he, the doctor who is helping Mr. Jones, but he disregards it and continues with his other patients.

The next morning he comes in to check on Mr. Jones and finds that he has recovered 100% from the flu, the Doctor is stunned. "Wow, I have never seen anyone at your age with your symptoms recover to the fullest this fast!"

"I praise the Lord on high for this, Christ has cured me of my illness, it is all of Him that I am better."

The doctor can’t take this anymore, "Mr. Jones, I’m sorry, but I just can’t believe that there is a God who cures just you and not the other sick people out there, how can He let all this suffering go on?"

Mr. Jones responds: "God is real, He is a loving God; if you ask, so shall you receive."

"Then why is there all this evil in the world, shouldn’t He stop it if He exists? Where is your God?" Mr. Jones looks at him and ponders it for a while.

"I don’t believe in Doctors!" Mr. Jones says.

"What!? What do you mean, I’m a doctor, I practice medicine, I make sick people better."

"But there are so many sick people out there so that means that Doctors don’t exist."

"There are sick people out there because they don’t or can’t go to a doctor."

"Exactly! That's the point! God does exist. What happens, is, people don't go to Him and do not look for Him when they can. That's why there's so much pain and suffering in the world."

"But how can He watch us destroy ourselves like this with the hate and evil, its sadistic."

"It is Man who has brought evil and hatred into this world through OUR own sin. You have to understand that we are all sinners, but it is God who has allowed us to thrive through his perfect love; we all should be dead due to our own sin, it destroys us all. Have you ever asked yourself how we have made it to this point, with all the evil in this world: killings, plagues, disasters, wars. Isn’t a being so destructive, according to evolution, supposed to kill themselves off through natural selection? Doesn’t this suggest that there is an outside force controlling and guiding what happens here?"

"But why are innocent infants in third world countries dieing of diseases, they did nothing to sin, why is God allowing for them to die?"

"No one said life was going to be fair, bad things happen to good people, even innocent infants. But God allows for bad things to happen for a reason. Bad things happen because of sin, but God takes that sin and turns it into good. He took the crucifixion of Jesus Christ and turned it into salvation of all mankind."

"Jesus, he was just a man, a philosopher of His time, I find it hard to believe that He’s God."

Why, why is it so hard to believe that Jesus died on the cross for your sin’s, and to be saved all you have to do is believe in Him with all your heart, and you will be found righteous in the eyes of God."

"He was just a man who did good things, there is no evidence supporting the theory of Him being God, or a God at all."

"But there is a lot of evidence supporting Jesus as the Messiah, God. The Bible, in the Old Testament, there is exactly 306 specific prophecies about Christ's first coming to earth. Each one of them came true - literally - exactly as predicted! This verse, tell me what you think it means, "My strength is dried up like a potsherd, and my tongue cleaves to my jaws; And Thou dost lay me in the dust of death. 16 For dogs have surrounded me; a band of evildoers has encompassed me; they pierced my hands and my feet. 17 I can count all my bones. They look, they stare at me; 18 they divide my garments among them, and for my clothing they cast lots." What does that sound like to you? Or what does it remind you of if anything?"

"Something similar to a crucifixion maybe?"

"Yes you are correct. That was from Psalm 22. That Psalm was written about 1000 years before Christ was born. In fact, that Psalm begins with the verse "My God, My God, why have you forsaken me?" which is what Jesus quoted on the cross. My point is this; the Bible contains prophecy, detailed prophecy about Christ that has come true. No other book has this."

"How do you know that it was written 1000 years before Christ, do you have any proof?"

"The Old Testament was completed around 400 B.C. this is a historic fact and there is nobody anywhere of any educational level who's studied it that disagrees with this. In the 1940s a shepherd boy in the Israel area accidentally discovered a pot full of ancient manuscripts. Some of them were dated around 100 years before Christ."

"As an educated man myself, I have to be skeptical, anyone could have altered them, changed it to their liking."

"The Old Testament can be verified to have been written before Christ was born. Therefore the Psalm was written long before Jesus was ever born. There is enough archaeological evidence to substantiate the validity and accuracy of the Old Testament, it is just a matter of you accepting the evidence at hand."

Sorry, I don’t think that there is enough evidence to say that Jesus is God, and as I stated, that there is a God at all."

"Ok, let me ask you another question, humor me please, what does a criminal Prosecutor do?"

They prosecute criminals who have been arrested for a crime."

"Ok, what basis do they have to suspect that the person is guilty?"

They go on evidence at hand, I see where this is going but it’s not the same."

"But isn’t it? The Prosecutor is basing their case on evidence collected by the police: testimony, a dead body, or any evidence of foul play. The Prosecutor wasn’t there to see the crime being committed, nor were they there to obtain testimony, that’s usually done by the police, so what are they basing their case on? With your standards then we could not prosecute anyone, because there is not enough evidence."

"What evidence is there to prove that there is a God? I don’t know any."

Lets take the miss-understood theory of the ‘Big Bang’ Do you buy into the theory of the Big Bang?"

"Yeah, I do, until I hear compelling evidence to the contrary."

"All right, well, as it is taught, it states the theory is that the Universe began with all matter and energy concentrated to very high density and temperature some 15 billion years ago. The present universe expanded from that epoch and is still expanding. Am I correct?"

"Yes, from what I know, go on."

"But my question is that, where did that matter come from? Scientists have not yet to answer that."

"They don’t know, I don’t know."

Could it be that God created this ‘Big Bang’? I imagine that if God were to create the universe He wouldn’t just have it come into existence with no theatrics, there would be something magnificent to it. Wouldn’t you say?"

"Eh, well, yeah, but where did God come from?"

"God is perfect, perfection cannot have a beginning or an end, it would contradict itself. That’s why God said he is the Alpha and Omega, meaning that he has no beginning or end."

"That’s hard to buy."

"I know it is, but think of it this way, how do you explain to a blind person who has been blind his whole life the color yellow? You really can’t, they’ve never seen it nor had the receptors to comprehend it, no eyes."

"Ok"

Same goes for Man, we only have our five senses, but there is more out there that we can’t see or begin to comprehend. We don’t have the receptors to understand God’s greatness and power; we can just witness His divine intervention through what He does."

"Ok, I’ll give you that. But I still can’t help to be skeptical. It’s just real hard for me to accept right now for the existence of a god, and especially Jesus as being that God."

"I understand the reason you feel this, it is due to our freewill and our choice to not follow God."

The Doctor looks at his watch, "I really have to get back to my profession that you don’t believe in" the Doctor says with a chuckle and a smile.

"I believe in doctors, just as much as you believe in the healing powers of your practice, I just pray that someday you’ll realize that it’s not so much your skills as it is God’s power doing the healing through your skill."

This arrogant statement again took the Doctor by surprise, but with the conversation just had he understood why Mr. Jones said it.

"Be it God’s power’s or my Harvard degree, someone is healing, and needs to be healed."

"That is true, thank you Doctor, you do a lot and you should get credit for your abilities, I praise God for you and what you do."

The Doctor smiles and returned the gesture, "Thanks, I hope your health stays with you, your God I must say works miracles as it appears."

"That he does."

"If you feel ill again come back so we can check on you."

"That I will."

The Doctor leaves the room with his thoughts and Mr. Jones follows too.

Jesus is real, he is God, and He does exist. He died on Calvary Hill and was resurected three days later to save the world from our own sins. It is up to you to accept the evidence at hand and accept Christ as God. If you want to accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior REPENT and talk to the Lord in prayer in your own words right now. Don't put off making a decision for Jesus, tomorrow may be too late. Some people don't know how to pray. Praying is just talking to the Lord. If you want to be saved, repent and pray--you can say something like, "Dear Jesus, I know that I am a sinner and I want to be saved. I repent of my sins, every one. I don't want to do evil anymore; I want to do righteousness through the blood of Jesus. I'm asking you to please forgive me of my sins against you. I want a new life in the Lord Jesus Christ. I want to be everything that You created me to be. I believe that Jesus shed His blood and died for me so that I could be saved from my sins. I believe that He rose from the dead on the third day. I want to be your child. Thank you for being merciful to me, a sinner. Thank you Lord Jesus for saving my soul from sin. Please fill me with your precious, Holy Spirit so that I can live a righteous, self-denying life for you. I'm giving you myself. Please show me what you want me to do. In Jesus' Name I pray, Amen." Once you are Saved, the Holy Spirit literally, not metaphorically, but literally enters you and transforms you, you are born again. It is great, God is great and I hope you will understand this too. Accept Christ into your life.

Targeting Youth

How dare they! Yes, they have a right to their opinion, but they don't have a right to stand outside a high school with such impressionable kids and pass out anti-war and anti-military propoganda.

Some people from the San Diego Coalition for Peace and Justice (AKA: Anti-war protestors) went down to Point Loma high school (San Diego) this morning to pass out anti-war, anti-military, and basically anti-American flyers with the message of: this war is wrong, our President lied, and don’t join the service, they lie too.

Getting word of this far in advance I talked to my fellow Protest Warrior’s and we decided to counter their propaganda. We went there (Scott and I) at 7 in the morning to pass out yellow bracelets that say, "Support Our Troops" and a flyer that Scott made personally about his military service. This is what it said:

The photo above was taken in Umm Qasr, Iraq in June 2003. That's me on the left. I'm a veteran of Operation Iraqi Freedom.

I spent most of 2003 in Kuwait and Iraq. I'm not a baby killer; I didn't destroy any mosques; I never abused or tortured anyone; and although I was never far from my weapon, I never had occasion to use it.

I didn't join the military because I was poor, or because I wanted to kill people and break things. And I wasn't a pawn in someone else's game. I support our mission in Iraq.

I volunteered to serve because I appreciate the rights that we all enjoy as Americans, and I realize that someone has to be prepared to defend those freedoms.

I find it ironic that some choose to exercise those same freedoms by denigrating the efforts of those who risk their lives to defend them. But I respect their right to do so.

I'm not a politician. I'm not going to ask you to support a particular cause or party. It's up to you to figure out where you stand.

I'm not a recruiter. I'm not here today to ask you to join the military; that is a very serious life decision that you will have to make on your own. It's not for everyone.

All I ask for is respect – for my fellow veterans, for our volunteer military, and for their families. They deserve your support.

His message was not saying join the military, nor to think our way, but he wanted for the kids to think for themselves and realize the sacrifices that our Soldiers give each day for our Freedom's, and to be thankful. I was surprised with the reception we got from the students; one girl came up to us and thanked us for doing what we were, she said, "We need you guys out here more." She was getting tired of the anti-war people handing out their propaganda pamphlets at her school, and so were we. She got into a conversation with Scott saying how a friend of hers was killed in Iraq and yet she understood the sacrifice and the good that they are doing. I feel for that girl’s lost, but I am also proud of her for having the courage and intelligence to understand that that's what a soldier does, he or she fights for their country, and even dies for it. She got it, but not the ant-war people.

Finally an anti-war person got intrigued and asked what we were passing out, I said, "Support our troops bracelets". She didn’t get it, she just said, "I support the troops too, that’s why I want them to come home". I didn’t respond, I just nodded and smiled, that's all you can do with these people. I didn't want to get into a debate with her, especially near a school. But they thought we were there on their side, it wasn't until several minutes later that they asked for the flyer we were handing out. We graciously and happily gave them one, wanting to see the look on their face. That's what made the day, watching their happy "I’m doing my anti-war duty" smile to a disgusted, "oh no, they’re here" frown. Though they didn't say a word to us, we knew what they were thinking. Scott and I looked at each other with a look of triumph, we knew we were getting to them, and they knew we were getting to the students. It was Awesome!

All in all, it went great. Except for getting yelled at by the janitor for being two feet on school property, and him complaining that he's the one who has to clean up the trash when the kids throw them on the ground, nothing bad happened. In fact you could say it was Protest Warrior: 1, anti-war peeps: 0. I left feeling like I actually made a difference; I helped change the thinking of this flawed society by sending out a message to the youth. A message that is different from what is told to them on TV, and by the anti-war groups. Wherever liars may be, Protest Warrior will be there too to tell the true!

The San Diego Protest Warrior's, every Thursday afternoon's stand outside in rain or shine MCAS Mira Mar to thank the Marines and Sailors exiting. We hold signs of appreciation to the passing cars to let them know we care. We thank them for their hard work and sacrifice of defending Freedom here and abroad.

We have been receipted with such greath warmth and appreciation, that we were even given a few items by the Marines. At the first rally a Marine threw a bag out of him car window. When we inspected it there was a boonie hat and a card with a message inside. The card read:

Thank you for spending a small moment of your freedom showing us that you appreciate us as much as we appreciate you, the loyal patriotic civilian community. Your thanks makes it all worth while.

That message made it all worthwhile, that touched all of us. I am not in the service, I don’t know if I ever will be, but as an American, I feel it is my duty to defend her; and right now the best way I can think of is by supporting those who do the real fighting, and denouncing those who are against them. Thank you to all of the brave Men and Women of the U.S. Armed Services, Thank You!

"Fascist Watch"

So I got an email from the San Diego Progressive Movement's "Fascist Watch" regarding their efforts to stop Protest Warrior from inhibiting their freedom of speech. If you have not read the email, you can find it here, but I just had to laugh when I read it. What I found the most comical was their belief that we present a possible threat to non-colored people and non-Christians. Quote: While they have not demonstrated any openly racist behavior yet, their ultra-nationalism carries within it a potential threat to people of color and non-christians, especially Arabs and Muslims. Now my question is, how have we, (Protest Warrior), demonstrated in any form a potential threat to certain groups of people of color or religion? I don't think we have. My only conclusion is that they are trying to feed propaganda to their minions. No! They would never do that; say false truths to get their way! But alas, they have. It is my belief that they are trying to scare us into submissive silence; the exact same thing we are accused of. They don't like competition; they think they represent the entire world in their message. This is how they feel good and are able to sleep at night. But we all know the truth, these people were the same kids who, in elementary school, if didn't get the ball would run crying to the teacher.
My conclusion: I say, to these malcontented babies, that you do not scare us; you are the ones who are threatening people by crying that we cannot practice our rights to freedom of speech. Do not be afraid to practice in a peaceful respectful manner your freedom of speech by means of protest, but also don't inhibit the rights of those who oppose you.

Why We Are In Iraq

I have read blogs and have heard news propaganda about how bad things are right now in Iraq. How life there is harder now than when Saddam was in power. I truly feel sorry for these people who have to carry a gun just to visit their aunt on the other side of Baghdad. Walking outside brings dangers that only a veteran Navy Seal knows; however, I am not sorry for bringing justice to an evil man. The United States went to war against Saddam and his regime on the premise that there were, indeed, WMDs. Although never found, it was apparent that WMDs were used on the Kurds' over a decade ago. So, Saddam did have them; we just have not found them yet. But our second and most important reason for going to Iraq was to bring evil to justice! Saddam committed atrocities to mankind, and he has to be held accountable for his actions. Genocide, torture, rape, breaking international laws; any one of these would send any American to prison and hopefully be given the death penalty,but the world is complaining that a Nation, with the power to bring justice are wrong in doing so. Yes, Iraq is hard right now, yes innocent people are dieing, yes, it's not fair. But was it fair for Hitler to kill Jews out of hatred? Was it fair for Russian solders to die for a country who a few years later killed innocent people in the name of socialism? Was it fair for American Special Forces to die trying to bring food to a poverty stricken Somalia just because a militia wanted for their people to suffer? No! Life is not fair! But it happened, I'm not saying that it's right, but that is life. One thing that the Iraqi people and the world have to understand is that we brought an evil man down; he can no longer hurt people. But at the same time we are trying to fight those who didn't want justice to be served, the insurgents of Iraq don't want American democracy because they are afraid that they then will be held accountable for their actions. That is the awful truth. I have read blogs on how price of water and gas has gone up dramatically in Iraq due to the American occupation. How the streets are more dangerous now, how US solders have stopped groups of citizens from protecting themselves by carrying guns. All I can say is that what we are doing will not be forever. They may not have asked to be liberated, but since they did nothing to stop Saddam, they had it coming. If they weren't going to stop evil, then step aside and let someone who will. All the countries that the US has liberated have taken years to fully develop. So for these people to say that they are tired of US occupation, I say sorry, we are not going to leave until you can run a country that poses no threat to us and the world.

Athiest or Agnostic?

I was on a discussion forum where the topic was atheism, and they were basically complaining that Christians need to stop talking to others about God and not bother those who don't think there is a God, or don't want to worship Him. But one topic made me think; a Christian on the forum wrote that you cannot know absolutely anything, you can't. If you did you would know every thought of every person ever born; you would know the amount of sand on all the beaches on this Earth, you would know all. Well, since humans can't know everything then you can't know for a fact that there is no God, and because of this, it suggests that atheism is false, and impossible, atheists are really agnostics. Atheists believe that there is no God, and agnostics believe that there isn't sufficient proof to support there being a God or not. But an atheist argued that: "well, you cannot know for a fact that there is a God." My conclusion to this person is that they're wrong. There is sufficient evidence that supports a God, and not enough for there not to be a God. Look at it this way, how does the court prosecutor know whether or not the defendant is innocent or guilty since they weren't there at the crime? They're basing their case on evidence that suggests that the defendant is guilty, whether or not there is a witness or not. The courts ask for the jury to make a decision based on the evidence at hand, so it's up to the jury to believe that evidence. Sadly we are the jury who has put God on trial, except that God is innocent and wrongly accused. This can also be said for Christ Jesus being that God; there is enough evidence including witness testimony that there isn't only just a God, but he is Jesus Christ. To deny God is to deny the evidence, unless you don't believe the evidence and then you are a fool. I honestly believe that everyone believes in God, but due to sin they deny Him and his existence. I feel sad for these people because they are missing out on His Joy, Peace, and Majesty. And I am even sadder to think that when they leave this Earth they will be permanently separated from God, which is the worst thing ever.

Politics Anyone?

I hear from friends and foes that they don't like politics; they don't have a care for them, they think it's just a bunch of fat white men spending our dollars on crap that is useless while smoking cigars, right? WRONG! Politics is all about how you are going to spend your life; how your mother, your father, brother, sister, son, daughter, aunt, uncle are going to live now, and in the future! Politics is as important as breathing! So it's astonishing when I hear people say they don't care about politics; you are basically saying that you don't care what the people in charge are doing, you couldn't care less if they passed a law that states that you have to wear pink every other Thursday or you will be thrown in jail (over-exaggeration I know) but you see my point, right?

I come from a right-wing conservative view that is based on my religion, Christianity. So, this means that my political view is based on the teachings of Jesus Christ, same as our country's forefathers. And yet, I know some liberal people whose views are based on a worldly premonition, and, as a result, conflict does arise. I want you all to know that just because I might disagree and protest their views; it does not mean that I expect them to stop exercising their American rights. To the contrary, I ask everyone to exercise their rights; their rights to take a stand, be active. Don't just say that you are for or against something, or someone-- be involved with your politics! Vote, sign petitions, hold protests, or even protest the protestors, just do something! Just because you don't have an interest in politics doesn't mean the politicians don't have an interest in you. If you see me out there protesting your viewpoint, know that I'm exercising my right to protest and even though I don't agree with you, that's all right! That is what makes America great! Just remember, that throughout history, though the wrong may stand for a short time, good will always triumph. When all is said and done, those who were right will know that they were because they will be the victors.
