Why We Are In Iraq

I have read blogs and have heard news propaganda about how bad things are right now in Iraq. How life there is harder now than when Saddam was in power. I truly feel sorry for these people who have to carry a gun just to visit their aunt on the other side of Baghdad. Walking outside brings dangers that only a veteran Navy Seal knows; however, I am not sorry for bringing justice to an evil man. The United States went to war against Saddam and his regime on the premise that there were, indeed, WMDs. Although never found, it was apparent that WMDs were used on the Kurds' over a decade ago. So, Saddam did have them; we just have not found them yet. But our second and most important reason for going to Iraq was to bring evil to justice! Saddam committed atrocities to mankind, and he has to be held accountable for his actions. Genocide, torture, rape, breaking international laws; any one of these would send any American to prison and hopefully be given the death penalty,but the world is complaining that a Nation, with the power to bring justice are wrong in doing so. Yes, Iraq is hard right now, yes innocent people are dieing, yes, it's not fair. But was it fair for Hitler to kill Jews out of hatred? Was it fair for Russian solders to die for a country who a few years later killed innocent people in the name of socialism? Was it fair for American Special Forces to die trying to bring food to a poverty stricken Somalia just because a militia wanted for their people to suffer? No! Life is not fair! But it happened, I'm not saying that it's right, but that is life. One thing that the Iraqi people and the world have to understand is that we brought an evil man down; he can no longer hurt people. But at the same time we are trying to fight those who didn't want justice to be served, the insurgents of Iraq don't want American democracy because they are afraid that they then will be held accountable for their actions. That is the awful truth. I have read blogs on how price of water and gas has gone up dramatically in Iraq due to the American occupation. How the streets are more dangerous now, how US solders have stopped groups of citizens from protecting themselves by carrying guns. All I can say is that what we are doing will not be forever. They may not have asked to be liberated, but since they did nothing to stop Saddam, they had it coming. If they weren't going to stop evil, then step aside and let someone who will. All the countries that the US has liberated have taken years to fully develop. So for these people to say that they are tired of US occupation, I say sorry, we are not going to leave until you can run a country that poses no threat to us and the world.

Athiest or Agnostic?

I was on a discussion forum where the topic was atheism, and they were basically complaining that Christians need to stop talking to others about God and not bother those who don't think there is a God, or don't want to worship Him. But one topic made me think; a Christian on the forum wrote that you cannot know absolutely anything, you can't. If you did you would know every thought of every person ever born; you would know the amount of sand on all the beaches on this Earth, you would know all. Well, since humans can't know everything then you can't know for a fact that there is no God, and because of this, it suggests that atheism is false, and impossible, atheists are really agnostics. Atheists believe that there is no God, and agnostics believe that there isn't sufficient proof to support there being a God or not. But an atheist argued that: "well, you cannot know for a fact that there is a God." My conclusion to this person is that they're wrong. There is sufficient evidence that supports a God, and not enough for there not to be a God. Look at it this way, how does the court prosecutor know whether or not the defendant is innocent or guilty since they weren't there at the crime? They're basing their case on evidence that suggests that the defendant is guilty, whether or not there is a witness or not. The courts ask for the jury to make a decision based on the evidence at hand, so it's up to the jury to believe that evidence. Sadly we are the jury who has put God on trial, except that God is innocent and wrongly accused. This can also be said for Christ Jesus being that God; there is enough evidence including witness testimony that there isn't only just a God, but he is Jesus Christ. To deny God is to deny the evidence, unless you don't believe the evidence and then you are a fool. I honestly believe that everyone believes in God, but due to sin they deny Him and his existence. I feel sad for these people because they are missing out on His Joy, Peace, and Majesty. And I am even sadder to think that when they leave this Earth they will be permanently separated from God, which is the worst thing ever.

Politics Anyone?

I hear from friends and foes that they don't like politics; they don't have a care for them, they think it's just a bunch of fat white men spending our dollars on crap that is useless while smoking cigars, right? WRONG! Politics is all about how you are going to spend your life; how your mother, your father, brother, sister, son, daughter, aunt, uncle are going to live now, and in the future! Politics is as important as breathing! So it's astonishing when I hear people say they don't care about politics; you are basically saying that you don't care what the people in charge are doing, you couldn't care less if they passed a law that states that you have to wear pink every other Thursday or you will be thrown in jail (over-exaggeration I know) but you see my point, right?

I come from a right-wing conservative view that is based on my religion, Christianity. So, this means that my political view is based on the teachings of Jesus Christ, same as our country's forefathers. And yet, I know some liberal people whose views are based on a worldly premonition, and, as a result, conflict does arise. I want you all to know that just because I might disagree and protest their views; it does not mean that I expect them to stop exercising their American rights. To the contrary, I ask everyone to exercise their rights; their rights to take a stand, be active. Don't just say that you are for or against something, or someone-- be involved with your politics! Vote, sign petitions, hold protests, or even protest the protestors, just do something! Just because you don't have an interest in politics doesn't mean the politicians don't have an interest in you. If you see me out there protesting your viewpoint, know that I'm exercising my right to protest and even though I don't agree with you, that's all right! That is what makes America great! Just remember, that throughout history, though the wrong may stand for a short time, good will always triumph. When all is said and done, those who were right will know that they were because they will be the victors.
